EA Sports F1 24 announces some in-game stats and data

As a lifelong Formula 1 enthusiast with over three decades of passion for this high-octane sport under my belt, I can confidently say that EA Sports F1 24 has truly outdone itself. The immersive experience it offers is nothing short of remarkable, allowing me to live the dreams of racing alongside my idols on some of the world’s most iconic tracks.

EA Sports recently shared some statistics derived from player data within EA Sports F1 24, to commemorate the thrilling conclusion of the Formula 1 season.

According to a statement from the publisher, fans have collectively traveled approximately 2.21 billion miles, made over 23.62 million stops, and shown significant interest in the game’s latest features and ongoing content updates.

Here’s the rest of the details:

For the very first time, players now have an opportunity to participate in a Career mode where they can assume roles as one of twenty Formula One drivers, or choose an up-and-coming competitor from Formula 2, or even a legendary figure in the revamped version of Career mode. It appears that Lewis Hamilton, seven-time World Champion, is the driver most players prefer to emulate, with Charles Leclerc, fourth-time World Champion from Scuderia Ferrari, and Max Verstappen following closely behind. Among the Formula 2 drivers, Oliver Bearman is the favorite, while Ayrton Senna reigns supreme as the Icon driver of choice.

Players preferred Bahrain, Melbourne, and Jeddah as their top race locations, choosing traditional tracks over city circuits. When it comes to gaming skills, the British, Americans, and Germans displayed exceptional speed. Interestingly, the UK, Italy, and France were frequently responsible for causing red flags during races, while a staggering 31 million drivers failed to finish races worldwide, ensuring that in-game racing remained as thrilling and unpredictable as real-life motorsports.

Enthusiasts warmly received the fresh live service approach, which revolved around a thematic structure. They actively participated in the numerous challenges that highlighted the sport’s rich history, current events, and upcoming milestones throughout the year. Participants showed a preference for Oscar Piastri’s Pro Challenge at the Circuit of Americas, Charles Leclerc’s Career Challenge, and the 1991 Brazilian Grand Prix Scenario featuring Lando Norris.

Lee Mather stated that this year’s F1 season has been exhilarating, not just on the track but also behind the scenes. The innovative additions and themed competitions in F1 24 have allowed fans to share that excitement by virtually stepping into the roles of their favorite drivers and crafting their own racing tales. We appreciate our players and are eager to deliver even more immersive experiences as the real-life intrigue of Formula 1 continues to unfold.

EA Sports F1 24 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X.
