As a long-time gamer with a deep affinity for football games, I’m excited to share my thoughts on EA Sports FC 25 and its new Premium Tier Pass. Having played EA Sports FC 24 extensively since its release in 2023, I’ve grown accustomed to the Free Tier rewards system in Ultimate Team. It provided a sense of progression and engagement as I completed objectives and earned coins, items, and player packs.
In the upcoming EA Sports FC 25, a new paid tier called “Premium Tier Pass” will be added, operating in conjunction with the existing free tier. Previously, EA Sports FC 24 included a Season Progress rewards system in Ultimate Team, granting players coins, special items, and packs upon finishing tasks and earning experience points. The Premium Tier of EA Sports FC 25, which is segmented into three distinct game modes, will offer enhanced rewards and benefits for those who opt to upgrade.
Yesterday, EA unveiled the official trailer for EA Sports FC ’25, featuring Jude Bellingham gracing the cover. The game is scheduled to drop on every platform, including older consoles such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, starting September 27. Pre-order buyers of the Ultimate Edition can enjoy early access from September 20th, but note that it does not come with the Premium Tier as an extra perk.
In simpler terms, the premium version in EA Sports FC 25 is an extra perk that comes with the free Season Pass. You can only access it once you reach a particular level. Once activated, you’ll get rewards from both the free and premium tiers as you continue to advance. Producer Karthik Venkateshan mentioned that the free tier in EA Sports FC 25 will remain the same as before and be available only in the Ultimate Team mode. Contrarily, the premium tier will work across Clubs, Career, and Ultimate Team game modes.
EA Sports FC 25 Premium Tier Won’t Have Exclusive Rewards
In simpler terms, Richard Waltz, the lead designer of FIFA Ultimate Team, shared that while there are differences between the Premium and Free tiers, these distinctions become more apparent at higher levels. There aren’t any special rewards that can only be obtained by purchasing the Premium Season Pass, according to him. Instead, players can buy the Premium Tier using Ultimate Team coins or FC Points.
After parting ways with FIFA, EA Sports released the first game under the new title, EA Sports FC 24, in September 2023. Since then, EA has consistently updated this football simulation game, introducing new Seasons and offering free rewards to players who completed missions and advanced in Ultimate Team. The most recent update, Season 7: Festival of Football, introduced 20 new unlockable players.
To date, EA has kept quiet about the cost of the Premium Tier for EA Sports FC 25. However, we anticipate further information to be unveiled in the near future as the game’s launch on September 27, 2024, draws closer for all major consoles and PC.
