EA’s newest soccer game isn’t off to a great start, receiving mostly mixed reviews on Steam. Currently, only 48% of players recommend it, while 52% do not. This is a drop from the previous year’s game, *EA Sports FC 25*, which had a 51% positive rating, and even further from the 2023 edition’s 56% positive reviews.
Players are reporting significant input lag in *EA Sports FC 26* during online matches, despite the developer saying they had fixed this issue with testing. Other frequent problems include stuttering frame rates, issues connecting controllers, unfair matchmaking, and poor performance on PC.
PC gamers have recently faced criticism due to a problem with *EA Sports FC 26*. A glitch in the Indonesian store let players buy in-game currency (FC Points) for a very low price, and many PC players took advantage of this. This gave them an unfair edge in Ultimate Team matches, leading thousands of console players to turn off crossplay to avoid competing against them.
Even though *EA Sports FC 26* has gotten mixed reactions on Steam, the number of players hasn’t dropped much since it came out. This suggests that even players who aren’t thrilled with the game are still playing it on PC. It’s unclear if future updates will improve the game and regain fans’ approval. However, considering that past *EA Sports FC* games on Steam also received mixed reviews, a major turnaround seems unlikely at this point.
