The new Silent Hill game, Silent Hill f, is coming out in just a few days on September 25th, and some people are already playing it! Fans have been eagerly awaiting this next installment in the Silent Hill series. If you want to avoid spoilers and go in fresh, be careful browsing online forums and YouTube videos until after the official release.
Set in 1960s Japan – a departure from the original games’ American setting – *Silent Hill f* follows teenager Shimizu Hinako as her town of Ebisugaoka becomes enveloped in a strange, thick fog. Players will guide Hinako as she confronts terrifying monsters and solves puzzles while trying to understand the fog’s unsettling psychological impact. This is the first major installment in the *Silent Hill* series since *Silent Hill Downpour* was released in 2012.
Silent Hill f Copies Appear Before Street Date
Hey everyone, just a heads-up for fellow *Silent Hill f* fans! Someone over on Resetera spotted physical copies of the game showing up already. If you’re like me and want to go in completely blind, be super careful on forums and YouTube until the official release on September 25th. The Deluxe Edition *is* coming out on the 23rd, but with the base game copies already out there, that gives spoilers an extra three days to spread, so stay vigilant!
Some fans of the *Silent Hill* series are worried that the new game, *Silent Hill f*, is too focused on action. Having early copies available might help potential players decide if it’s right for them. While the game will still have the scary atmosphere and puzzles that *Silent Hill* is known for, some previews suggest the combat is similar to the challenging style found in games like *Souls*. The developers are hoping this more action-packed approach will appeal to a new, younger audience.
Konami has revealed its plans for the Tokyo Game Show, including a look at *Silent Hill f*. Fans can experience an interactive puzzle exhibit called “Silent Hill f: Abandoned Items.” On September 28, 2025, the developers will host a special event, both in person and online, where they’ll discuss the game and showcase live gameplay with commentary.
