Easy Guide: Farming Bulaqchi Carapace in Monster Hunter Wilds

In the thrilling world of Monster Hunter Wilds, it’s no secret that the colossal beasts grab all the attention. Yet, each region hides some smaller critters too, just waiting for a hunter like me to take them down. These little guys might not pack the same punch as their larger counterparts, but they shouldn’t be underestimated – especially when it comes to the gear I’m aiming to craft.

In much the same way that larger beasts have their high-tier counterparts, so do the smaller creatures of each region. These High Rank variants will drop exceptionally rare items like Bulaqchi Shells. These shells are crucial for crafting certain materials used in High Rank armor. Here’s a simple guide on how to obtain some.

Where To Farm Bulaqchi Carapace In Monster Hunter Wilds

Each time you excavate a Bulaqchi, you’re assured to obtain one. These tiny insect-like creatures inhabit the Windward Plains, the initial region within the game. To return to your base camp, use fast travel, then exit the camp and walk along the path veering right towards the caves. This area is a significant spawn point for Bulaqchis, and they often appear in clusters.

If you’re having trouble locating them after venturing into the caves, they are represented by small purple diamonds on the map instead. These diamonds serve as shared icons for all minor creatures, but when you hover over a purple diamond, the name of the specific creature will appear. Ensure that it reads ‘Bulaqchi’.

As I gallop on my trusty steed, the Seikret, I’m marking a landmark – a glowing purple gemstone – as my destination. With this waypoint set, my stead will smartly guide me straight to it without any further input needed from me.

Are Bulaqchis Dangerous In Monster Hunter Wilds

A solitary Bulaqchi isn’t particularly dangerous, but beware when encountering them in groups. Their unique attack involves pinning you to the ground while they assault you. Though it might seem that intimidating behemoths are more of a concern, swarms of Bulaqchi can encircle you and repeatedly knock you down, draining your health and making it difficult for larger weapons to strike back effectively.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that when you act proactively against them, these swarms of Bulaqchis go down with just a handful of attacks and aren’t much trouble at all. Plus, keep in mind that these creatures often band together to tackle larger beasts roaming the area. So, it could prove beneficial to have a more formidable ally handle the fighting, while you manage to score a few hits on the big guy too!
