As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing the labyrinthine realms of various fantastical games, I can confidently say that Elden Ring has easily secured a place among my favorites. The game’s intricate design and enigmatic nature have left me utterly captivated, even when it comes to the more obscure aspects like the mysterious coffins scattered throughout its world.

In Elden Ring, the expansive open world hides numerous surprises for you to discover. As you delve deeper, you might stumble upon new regions or encounter a chest that transports you to an unexpected location. Alternatively, revisiting familiar areas at night could introduce a fresh challenge with the sudden appearance of a new boss who was previously absent. This element of unpredictability is one of the game’s key attractions, even though its challenging, enigmatic style might confound some fans of the Soulsborne series.

Instead of battling tough enemies and hoarding top-tier loot, some players might find themselves captivated by Elden Ring’s breathtaking vistas of magical landscapes. Even during moments of respite at the many Sites of Grace scattered along your adventure, you may be surprised to discover a resting place within a coffin.

As someone who has delved deep into the mysteries of the unknown and dabbled with the macabre, I must say that your query has piqued my curiosity. However, to answer your question, I can only speculate, for I have never personally attempted such an experiment. Resting in a coffin would likely result in the same fate as any other enclosed space without adequate ventilation – suffocation. It is not recommended and certainly not something one should try. The experience of death, or even simulating it, can be profoundly disturbing and potentially dangerous. I suggest instead focusing on living life to the fullest and exploring its mysteries in a safer, more constructive manner.

Resting In Elden Ring’s Coffins

Elden Ring: All Coffin Locations Revealed

For those of you who’ve been playing Elden Ring, you might have come across an ominous-looking coffin that offers the chance to rest within it when you get near. This feature has left some players puzzled, but fortunately, taking a break in a coffin won’t harm your journey in any way.

As a gamer immersed in Elden Ring, I find myself using mysterious coffins to navigate through various locations within this expansive world. Initially, there are three of these enigmatic artifacts available in the base game. However, for those daring enough to venture into the Shadow Realm during the DLC campaign, an extra coffin awaits discovery.

Following their defeat, search for a coffin at the foot of the waterfall. Inside this coffin lies a journey that leads to , a place known for its excellent farming spots within the game.

Second Coffin

Shadow of The Erdtree Coffin – Shadow Keep

In the array of coffins associated with Elden Ring, the latest one has been introduced as part of the downloadable content (DLC), nestled within Shadow Keep. The swiftest path to reaching this Coffin involves first overcoming the formidable Golden Hippopotamus and subsequently navigating through this historical dungeon.

If you choose to bypass the first two out of three flaming boats and locate some concealed stairways on your left, you will eventually discover a hidden chamber that contains the desired location.

To the right of the room, give the wall a few swings with your sword, and a secret passageway will come into view, ultimately guiding you towards the concealed coffin you’ve been trying to find.

Once you’re in, the coffin will take you on a journey along the Recluse’s River, allowing you to discover unexplored territories such as The Ruins of Unte and the Darklight Catacombs.
