Elden Ring Co-op Could See a Huge Boost at the End of October

As a seasoned gamer who’s been through the trials and tribulations of countless games, I can’t help but feel a nostalgic twinge at the prospect of Let Me Solo Her’s return to Elden Ring. I remember those days when I was just a greenhorn, stumbling my way through the Lands Between, only to find solace in the presence of this legendary figure. The day they’d appear by my side, ready to take on the toughest bosses, was always a beacon of hope.

Although Elden Ring, a much-acclaimed and widely played game, has completed its main content updates and is now primarily a single-player experience, interest in it has been gradually diminishing as players complete their adventures in the Lands Between. However, excitement for the game is set to skyrocket again in October 2024, when a highly esteemed community member, Let Me Solo Her (also known as Let Me Solo Him and Let Me Solo Them), will return to Elden Ring’s multiplayer mode after being absent due to a ban. This legendary player is expected to reappear in Elden Ring at the end of October.

As a devoted admirer, I fondly remember when “Let Me Solo Her” gained notoriety for guiding gamers through one of the most challenging boss fights initially found in Elden Ring’s base game. However, it’s regrettable that their main account was suspended from the game back in April due to using mods during gameplay. Now that Let Me Solo Her’s ban is coming to an end, there’s a buzzing excitement among the community about their upcoming return to continue their extraordinary mission of assisting players in overcoming some of the newly introduced DLC bosses within Elden Ring.

Elden Ring Faces Low Player Counts As Players Finish the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

In September 2024, the maximum number of Elden Ring players on Steam was just 74,818, which represents a small fraction (about 7.8%) of the game’s all-time peak player count of 952,523. This drop in players is typical as players finish the game and move on to other titles. Given that the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is reportedly Elden Ring’s final major content update, many players may have already defeated their final boss or earned all achievements and are now eagerly anticipating FromSoftware’s next SoulsBourne game.

The upcoming SoulsBorne game from FromSoftware following Elden Ring is rumored to have a more limited scale, which might mean we’ll hear about it sooner rather than later.

Despite facing low player numbers, the return of Let Me Solo Her is a promising sign for Elden Ring’s cooperative community. Therefore, if you haven’t vanquished some of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC bosses or are simply seeking an opportunity to re-engage with Elden Ring, the latter part of October might be the ideal moment to do so.

Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC’s Controversial Difficulty Is the Perfect Opportunity for Let Me Solo Her’s Return

Initially after Elden Ring was launched, a user named ‘Let Me Solo Her’ often positioned their summon sign near the battlefield of certain arenas, inviting other players to join them in defeating the boss without requiring assistance from the host player. Given that Malenia was deemed one of the most challenging bosses in Elden Ring at release, it wasn’t long before news of this player’s remarkable feats swept through the game’s community. ‘Let Me Solo Her’ quickly earned legendary status within the gaming world, until they were banned in April for using mods during their Elden Ring play sessions.

In Elden Ring, the challenge level of a boss battle may adjust according to the number of human players and non-player characters (NPCs) who are participating when the fight begins. However, calling forth a Spirit Ash during an ongoing battle will not influence the battle’s difficulty.

The ban on Let Me Solo Her will lift in late October 2024, and it’s expected that they will rejoin the game, resuming their role in assisting players to conquer bosses. Not long after Let Me Solo Her was banned, Elden Ring released a substantial DLC. Now, with the bosses from this new content rumored to be more challenging than Malenia, it appears that the ideal moment for Let Me Solo Her to make their comeback and carry on their tradition is upon us, once again rallying the Elden Ring community.
