Elden Ring Movie Director Eyeing Warfare’s Kit Connor for Upcoming Adaptation

Reportedly, movie director Alex Garland is considering a reunion with actor Kit Connor from Warfare for the A24 and Bandai Namco’s film adaptation of the popular 2022 RPG game, Elden Ring.

According to Deadline and further supported by Varity, there are rumors swirling that Garland might invite Connor to join the cast of the upcoming Elden Ring film, although no official offer has been extended as of now.

Just lately, I teamed up with Garland on the latest Warfare adventure, an edge-of-the-seat war narrative set in Iraq, where a squad of U.S. Navy SEALs find themselves pinned down by enemy fire.

Beyond his current role, Connor has appeared on other screens in productions such as Heartstopper, His Dark Materials, and Rocketman. He’s also lent his voice to video games like A Plague Tale: Requiem, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and Dreams.

There’s some question about whether Connor’s personality would align with the grim fantasy world that Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin are creating for their movie, since specific details about the storyline are still undisclosed.

Last week, it was revealed that Garland has been chosen to lead the production of the Elden Ring movie. Beyond directing, the director behind Ex Machina and Captain America: Civil War will also pen the script for the film.

Martin has returned to his role as producer within the universe of the Lands Between, and he’ll have the company of Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, and Allon Reich from DNA during this project.

It’ll take a while until we know who Connor may act in the Elden Ring movie, and unfortunately, we don’t have a release date set, so we’ll need to be patient before it hits the screens.
