Elden Ring Nightreign devs warn players on PC with the “latest graphics cards” may experience significant performance issues

For PC players of Elden Ring: Nightreign, if you’ve recently upgraded to a high-end graphics card, you might encounter some significant problems instead.

At the launch of the captivating Elden Ring multiplayer spin-off, players using advanced PC graphics cards may encounter significant performance problems, a situation that gamers with older graphics cards are unlikely to experience.

Elden Ring Nightreign Day One GPU issues

According to the recent updates from the game creators at FromSoftware, they’ve acknowledged that the PC version of their new game is experiencing some performance problems with the most up-to-date graphics cards.

It’s unclear which exact graphics cards are experiencing performance problems with FromSoftware games, but it seems plausible that the Nvidia RTX 50-series and AMD Radeon 9000-series might be affected. However, it’s important to note that no definitive statement has been made about which specific models within these series are encountering issues.

If your computer has one of the most recent GPU models, FromSoftware advises adjusting the graphical settings or reducing screen resolution for a more fluid gaming experience. However, please note that these adjustments only temporarily alleviate the issue at hand.

The developer has verified that certain PC setups with the most recent graphics cards might encounter frame rate reductions. They’re currently working on identifying the root cause. As a temporary solution, if you notice severe frame rate drops, you might be able to fix it by adjusting the graphics settings from their default “High” setting to either “Medium” or “Low”, and also reducing your screen resolution. Additionally, ensure that you have the latest drivers for your graphics card installed.

According to FromSoftware’s announcement, they plan to continue supporting their newly launched multiplayer spin-off game post-launch with additional enemies, classes, and features. It’s hoped that an update, possibly arriving soon, will optimize the game to fully leverage modern GPU capabilities.
