Elden Ring Nightreign DLC The Forsaken Hollows launches next month

During today’s PlayStation State of Play Japan, FromSoftware announced the first major DLC for Elden Ring Nightreign, titled The Forsaken Hollows. Even with some initial multiplayer issues, Elden Ring Nightreign is still considered one of the best co-op action games of the year, recently enhanced with a challenging Deep Night mode. The Forsaken Hollows will add two new characters players can control, and it’s coming out soon – on December 4th, 2025, according to the trailer.

Elden Ring Nightreign DLC, The Forsaken Hollows, announced for next month

The announcement of Elden Ring: Nightreign surprised gamers at the end of last year during The Game Awards. This was especially unexpected considering Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree had just received a debated Game of the Year nomination. You can find the new trailer from today’s presentation, and FromSoftware has also published more details on the PlayStation Blog.

I’m so hyped for The Forsaken Hollows DLC! We’re getting two new Nightfarers to play as: the Scholar and the Undertaker. The Scholar sounds amazing – basically an academic who fights with a magical book and gets stronger by studying what’s happening on the battlefield. The Undertaker is totally different, though. She’s a powerful abbess who uses both strength and faith to, well, let’s just say she’s really good at taking enemies out of the fight permanently!

The new downloadable content (DLC) will add a large new area called the Great Hollow for players to explore. Located deep within Limveld, the Great Hollow is filled with the ruins of an ancient civilization – including temples, towers, and strange crystals that release a dangerous, life-draining mist. Players will also encounter two new boss battles, one of which appears to be against a group of seven heavily armored, angelic warriors.

The new expansion for Elden Ring Nightreign, called The Forsaken Hollows, will be available in the Collector’s and Deluxe Editions, suggesting it will be a separate purchase for other players. If you’re eager to revisit Limveld, you won’t have to wait long – The Forsaken Hollows DLC comes out on December 4th, 2025.
