In this way, the sentence maintains its original meaning while sounding more conversational and easy to read.

How To Complete Recluse Remembrance Quests in Elden Ring Nightreign

To begin the “Recluse Remembrance” quest, look for it within your Journal, which serves as a chronicle of experiences for each Nightfarer, containing their stories and lore. You’ll find this book in the Roundtable Hold. Note that there will be just one entry per character in the Journal. If you aspire to unveil the Recluse’s memories and reminiscences, you’ll need to collect memory shards.

In the game, Memory Fragments can be acquired by finishing Expeditions and vanquishing Nightlords – there’s no other way to get this item at present. After obtaining a Memory Fragment, the subsequent chapter in the Recluses’ journal entries will automatically open up. These chapters may include Remembrance quests or additional lore. Once a Remembrance has been unlocked, it can be initiated by interacting with the journal. As of now, the Recluse has three Remembrance quests that you can embark on.

First Recluse Remembrance

In the initial mission of the solitary figure known as The Recluse, you’ll find a straightforward task awaiting you. Throughout this mission, the Iron Manial may voice worries and skepticism about the Nightfarer’s dedication to the battle against the Nightlords. However, these concerns can be dismissed by defeating a specific enemy tainted by the night, referred to as the Night-Tainted foe. To accomplish this, follow the instructions provided below.

  • Speak to the Iron Menial in the Roundtable Hold’s waiting room. He will reveal his doubts and give you a quest to prove yourself.
  • Start any expedition as the Recluse and go to Limveld.
  • Head towards the red marker on your map.
  • Find and kill the Night-Tainted Golden Hippopotamus.
  • Obtain the Night Shard from the fallen enemy.
  • Return to the Roundtable Hold.
  • Speak to the Iron Menial and exhaust all dialogues.
  • Complete the Remembrance.

The Golden Hippo tainted by night is a larger-than-usual foe, but its size makes it sluggish and limited to powerful slam attacks. To overcome this enemy, continually move around and look for an opportunity to attack. Repeat this strategy until the foe is defeated. Subsequently, speaking with the Iron Menial at the Roundtable Hold will conclude this Remembrance. As a reward, you’ll receive the Recluse Chalice.

Second Recluse Remembrance

In your next adventure as a hermit’s remembrancer, focus on the Night Shard you got from the previous task. This assignment is brief and can be completed entirely within the Roundtable Hold’s walls. Here are the instructions to accomplish all the objectives of this quest:

1. Go to the library in the Roundtable Hold.
2. Locate a specific book about the Night Shard.
3. Read the book for clues or insights.
4. Return to the Roundtable Hold’s main hall and speak with Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon.
5. Follow her instructions to complete the quest.

  • Speak to the Iron Menial near the Small Jar Bazaar. He will give you the Shard of Night and some new information regarding it.
  • Head towards the room just beyond the Journal. There you will find strange glowing markings on a bed.
  • Interact with it to obtain the Vestige of Night.
  • Go back and speak to the Iron Menial again. Exhaust all his dialogue.
  • Complete the Remembrance.

When you discuss the peculiar glowing symbols with the Iron Worker, he promises to investigate the enigmatic carvings more thoroughly. Following this conversation, the Memory fades away. Yet, you won’t depart without a token of appreciation. You will receive the Night Vestige relic as a gift instead. This artifact boosts your magical attack abilities and generates Terra Magica when the Recluse aligns with affinity.

Third Recluse Remembrance

In the third memory quest of the recluse, she seeks help from her companion, the Wheel’s Witch. This is the final entry in the Nightfarer’s log. Notably, as you progress through this mission, you’ll discover that the Witch, once thought to be deceased, may actually be hiding within the Roundtable Hold. To successfully accomplish all tasks within this Remembrance, make sure to follow the guidelines meticulously.

  • Go to the training ground to find the Iron Menial. It won’t be the real iteration of the character.
  • Kill the Iron Menial. Once he is defeated, it will turn out to be the Witch of the Wheel.
  • Speak to the Witch of the Wheel. She will reveal that survival story and tell you where she is keeping the real Iron Menial.
  • Head towards the Visual Codex. Once in that room, take the stairs downward and head inside the crypt.
  • Interact with the Iron Menial and explain everything.
  • Complete the Remembrance.

After conversing with the Wheel Witch, she’ll disclose that she imprisoned Iron Menial within a hidden chamber. When you manage to free him and rouse him from sleep, it will conclude the final Recluse Recollection. This action grants you the Bone-Like Stone artifact. By incorporating this relic, the Recluse’s Ultimate Ability will gain a blood-draining effect and boost her attack strength, health, and intellect.

The Recluse’s Ending

After finishing all three Recluse Remembrance quests, you’ll gain access to a new Nightfarer ending. To achieve this, initiate the “Night Aspect” expedition. Once you conquer the Nightlord, the Recluse will be transported to an altered Roundtable Hold. Proceed towards the location where you discovered the “Vestige of Night”. There, you’ll encounter a child sleeping on a bed. Interact with this Child of Darkness to provide comfort. Subsequently, the story concludes. Finally, visit the same spot again and converse with the Witch of the Wheel to acquire the Recluse Remembrance outfit as a reward.
