Although The Undertaker has recently gained more popularity with Elden Ring Nightreign’s The Forsaken Hollows, the Scholar is also a strong contender. FromSoftware has explained that his abilities are more complex than just connecting enemies to distribute damage.
The Ultimate ability, “Communion,” can also restore health to teammates linked by threads, making it very helpful in the new boss battles – including the challenging seven-in-one boss shown in the trailer. The Scholar class also excels at using items, not just storing more of them, but also enhancing their power or adding special effects when used.
Analyze is a useful ability that, combined with his Ultimate, weakens enemies. The more you use Analyze, the stronger the weakening effect becomes. Though he can participate in fights, the Scholar excels at supporting the team from a safer distance.
The new Elden Ring expansion, Nightreign – The Forsaken Hollows, will be available on December 4th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC. You can find a detailed first look at the expansion in GameSpot’s preview.
