You’ve probably heard of Zohran Mamdani if you follow US politics. He recently became a New York City mayor and won the election thanks to his strong personality and appeal.
Okay, so Elden Ring blew up, right? Millions of people playing, and the community is insanely creative. Honestly, I wasn’t that surprised someone would mod something cool into the game. But wow, I was floored when I heard about this! It’s not just some little hidden character either – someone completely rebuilt a character to be Zohran Mamdani, complete with his whole vibe. They basically made an ‘Elden Zohran’ and it’s seriously impressive.
The Lands Between The City That Never Sleeps
Bernie Sanders, Andrew Cuomo, and Masi Sadai (also known as Mamdani) all appear as characters in the video game Elden Ring, thanks to a mod called Elden Zohran. This means Andrew Cuomo’s defeat in the election is now part of the game’s world – a story his brother, Chris Cuomo, could definitely cover!
A popular TikTok video is making the rounds, showing characters from the game Elden Ring reimagined as political figures. Chris Cuomo is playing the role of Margit, and Hasan Piker is Melina. Even Bernie Sanders makes an appearance! The video’s creator has made the mod available for download on Nexus Mods, where it replaces the default character models with the likeness of Zohran. Players can start a new game with this change, or switch to it later on in the game at the Roundtable Hold.
Raphael Fabre created this mod, with help from Tristan Donnard and The Vein. It’s available on Nexus Mods under the username erbafleahpar. They also previously released a separate mod that lets you add Jean-Luc Mélenchon, a French political leader, to the game if you’re interested.
It’s quite something, really – a tribute to the creativity and boldness of dedicated Elden Ring fans who are eager to see actor Zohran Mamdani appear in that dark fantasy setting. Though, it makes you wonder if the game is just reflecting what’s happening in the real world. Opinions will differ, but ‘dark fantasy’ feels pretty accurate these days…
