Fortunately, we’re looking forward to receiving more of the masterpiece from FromSoftware, Elden Ring. Last year saw the launch of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and within a few weeks, Nightreign will be available. Alongside Nightreign, this year also brings the Tarnished Edition. While a release date hasn’t been specified yet, FromSoftware has recently unveiled two intriguing classes and additional details for the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition.

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition new classes and more

On the 6th of May, FromSoftware held an event in Tokyo, attended by Japanese media personnel. The coverage from this event, detailing the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, was handled by Famitsu.

Among the information disclosed, it was unveiled that we’ll be getting two new character classes: “Knight of Ides” and “Heavy Knight.” However, specific details such as their abilities, statistics, or gameplay styles were not provided in this announcement.

Apart from the fresh classes, it’s been unveiled that the re-launch will encompass “four additional kinds of armor, weaponry, and fighting styles”. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to modify the look of your spirit steed with “three distinct appearances” offered.

The Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is slated to launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2025. If you’re one of those who currently own the game on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC, the exclusive content from the Nintendo Switch 2 version will be accessible via the Tarnished DLC update.

As I write this, there’s no confirmed launch date yet for the Tarnished Edition, but it’s expected to drop sometime in 2025 – following the official release of Elden Ring: Nightreign on May 30th.

In other game updates, Shuhei Yoshida declared that the upcoming title, Ghost of Yotei, surpasses Tsushima as he had the opportunity to experience the much-awaited follow-up.
