It’s not every day you see a game leap from eighth place to first in such a short span!
Elden Ring was the best-selling game for June 2024, according to the latest data from Circana.
Introduced in 2022, Elden Ring climbed up from the eighth spot to the top position due to the rollout of its enormous Shadow of the Erdtree expansion on June 20th. This expansion was a massive hit, selling over 5 million copies within its first three days of release.
1. For the month, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 took the second spot, having been in third place in May 2024. Third place went to an unexpected entrant – Kingdom Hearts: Integrum Masterpiece, which climbed from its initial position at 399 and launched on Steam on June 13. Lastly, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance and Hogwarts Legacy rounded out the top five.
In the past month, the previously top-selling game, Ghost of Tsushima, dropped down to the 12th position. Notably, several games plummeted out of the top 20 for this period: F1 24, Stellar Blade, Fallout 4, Madden NFL 24, and Rise of the Ronin all saw a significant decrease in popularity.
