Elder Jinchi Guide (How To Find & Beat) In Black Myth: Wukong

As an experienced gamer with countless hours spent traversing fantasy realms and defeating formidable foes, I must say that my latest conquest in Black Myth: Wukong left me quite pleased. The Elder Jinchi, a hidden boss nestled within the Ancient Gunayin Temple, was no pushover, but with a bit of patience and careful strategizing, I emerged victorious.

In the game Black Myth: Wukong, Elder Jinchi is a secretive boss character you’ll encounter. To get to it, you need to finish a clandestine mission within the game. Remarkably, all these tasks can be accomplished during the initial stage of the game. This means that players who start early will have an opportunity to triumph over this boss, which will grant them a new armor piece and a unique vessel known as the Fireproof Mantle.

Concerning defeating Elder Jinchi, the battle isn’t particularly challenging if you focus on a few key points. Apart from the boss, there’s a hidden zone with treasure chests filled with helpful gear such as armor sets, and various crafting resources like yarn.

In the game ‘Black Myth: Wukong’, players need to discover the secret spot, the Ancient Gunayin Temple, to meet Elder Jinchi. This can be achieved by striking three bells situated in distinct locations across Chapter 1.

Bell #1

Starting from the waypoint outside the Forest Shrine, I stride ahead crossing the bridge where a sneaky fox awaits. Veering leftward, I climb the slope to encounter the fearsome Guangzhi boss. After overpowering it, I triumphantly ring the bell.

Bell #2

As a gamer, when I get to the Snake Trail Keeper’s Shrine, I scale the stone steps ahead, cross the bridge, then take a slide down the hill close to the river. Following the flickering flames, I continue forward, and there I find the Yaoguai Chief Guangmou. After overpowering it, I ascend the nearby stairway to toll the second bell.

Bell #3

After vanquishing the formidable Whiteclad Noble within the shrouded Marsh of the White Mist, I chose to deviate from my path and instead, rang the final bell to my left. A captivating cinematic unfolded before me, and magically, I found myself transported to the enigmatic Ancient Gunayin Temple.

How To Beat Elder Jinchi In Black Myth: Wukong

In combat, Elder Jinchi mimics the fighting style of the Boss Wandering Wight found within the Forest of Wolves. However, unlike the solitary boss, Elder Jinchi controls an army of undead minions that flood the battlefield. These followers obey his every command, but fortunately, they can be safely disregarded in the fight.

Initially, the boss will seize authority from its subordinates and unleash a ranged assault on the players. To avoid this attack, you can dodge left or right by quickly moving your character.

Approaching too closely can trigger Elder Jinchi to execute a powerful stomp followed by a sequence of jumps and hand swipes, inflicting significant harm. A wise approach here would be to interrupt its attack rhythm by freezing the boss momentarily using an assortment of both light and heavy attacks. Additionally, mastering the skill that boosts damage when an enemy is immobilized during an assault can prove beneficial in this scenario.

When the boss is left with only half its health, it will hover and call forth additional creatures to move towards it, recovering its vitality. To halt this recovery, you should eliminate these creatures before they get to the boss. Additionally, these undead foes perish with a single attack, and they even restore some of your own health. If you find yourself in a challenging predicament without any Gourd for healing, consider defeating some of these enemies.

Among the lethal moves the boss can execute is thrusting its hand into the earth, resulting in a crate and causing damage through an explosive shockwave. Occasionally, the Elder might perform this move just once, but at other times, it may repeatedly create larger shockwaves that span across a large area. To avoid being hit by the attack, quickly move as far away from Jinchi as possible and stay clear until the assault concludes.

Frequently, Elder Jinchi launches an attack where it orders its minions to chase you. These enemies will light up and pursue players in packs. If you find yourself trapped among them, it results in a fatal outcome as they siphon off your HP. To avoid this, keep running around the area until the phase concludes.

In the game Black Myth: Wukong, summoning the Red Tides and delivering powerful blows is very effective, along with utilizing the Wandering Wight Spirit to inflict additional damage. Remember to look for opportunities to strike rather than charging in headfirst. As a result, you’ll eventually conquer Elder Jinchi.
