Elite High School Drama Unfolds

Enthusiasts of the “Classroom of the Elite” series have good cause to be thrilled! The story is about to embark on a new chapter with the arrival of “Classroom of the Elite Year 3”. As high school in Japan spans across three years, this will mark the climactic finale of the tale. To commemorate this, a fresh trailer has been unveiled.

The anime isn’t just starting a fresh chapter, but it’s also gearing up to delve into the happenings of Year 2 shortly, with Season 4 announcements potentially coming our way soon. You can catch the series on Crunchyroll.

Classroom of the Elite Year 3 Trailer

The official account for “Classroom of the Elite” on X (previously Twitter) shared a trailer for “Classroom of the Elite Year 3 Volume 1”, set to release soon in Japan. This trailer features narration by Akari Kito, who lends her voice to Suzune Horikita in the anime series. Give it a watch!

In the storyline, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji is often seen as the main character, but Horikita plays a significant role and acts as an ally, up until the conclusion of Year 2. Some readers are speculating, based on the summary of Year 3 Volume 1, that she may ultimately outshine Ayanokoji in the narrative.

Classroom of the Elite Year 3 Vol. 1 Release Date

In Japan, Year 3 Volume 1 (Y3V1) will be released on March 24, 2025. The plot deviates significantly from fan expectations as the members of Class D, for the first time ever, find themselves in Class A. Notably absent is Ayanokoji himself.

Being a criminal does not necessarily make you a bad person.

— Kiyotaka Ayanokoji

Originally placed in a different class from Horikita and their other peers, who are now in Class A, Ayanokoji finds himself in Class C instead. Consequently, if they aim to graduate as Class A, they must face off against him. This shift suggests that the narrative has transitioned into an “Everyone vs. Ayanokoji” dynamic.

The third season of “Classroom of the Elite” hasn’t been made available in English yet, but it’s expected to be announced by Seven Seas once they finish with “Year 2”.

Classroom of the Elite Season 4

The announcement for Season 4 came immediately following the conclusion of Season 3 on air, yet no additional information has been disclosed so far. It’s possible that more details will be shared at AnimeJapan 2025 (scheduled for March 22-23 in Japan) or shortly after Y3V1 is released. This implies we could receive updates such as a trailer or release date within the coming days or next week.

I have been alone for the past nine years; I don’t mind.

In the upcoming season, we’ll begin seeing “Classroom of the Elite: Season 2”. Fans are hopeful that the key crew from Season 3 will return for production. Therefore, if you’re planning to read the original novel ahead of Season 4, it would be wise to start with “Year 2”.
