Gail probes further, asking about their last meeting and whether they spoke. Ellie recounts spotting Joel on the porch following New Year’s, but choosing not to approach him. The discussion then unfolds with Gail disclosing Joel’s possible misdeeds as per his final conversation with the therapist. Ellie expresses that she doesn’t feel mistreated and is eager to leave the hospital immediately. With Gail’s approval, Ellie exits the hospital and heads straight to Joel’s residence. Meanwhile, Ellie was preparing for a battle and practicing with Jesse (portrayed by Young Mazino). Given that Jesse sat on the council, she sought his assistance during the vote. Jesse advised her to pen down her feelings as anger might negatively impact the voting process.
