Summary
- Vivian Wilson, Elon Musk’s eldest daughter, recently denounced the billionaire’s skills in the popular hero shooter Overwatch.
- Wilson claimed Musk was at a lower rank than her in Overwatch and would “constantly” ask her to play ranked matches with him, likely since he needed to be carried in them.
- She also commented on Musk’s Path of Exile 2 controversy, expressing doubt over his prowess in the action RPG and rhetorically asking why he would pretend to be good at games.
In a recent Twitch broadcast alongside popular content creator Hasan Piker, Elon Musk’s daughter, Vivian Wilson, voiced her criticism of the billionaire’s gaming abilities, specifically focusing on his skill level in the popular Blizzard game, Overwatch. Known for expressing her opinions about Musk online, this time she targeted his gaming prowess.
It’s not unusual that Elon Musk is embroiled in gaming-related disputes, so it’s not surprising that the recent comments from Wilson occurred during an ongoing feud between Musk and Hasan. Earlier this week, Musk accused Hasan of being a fraud for participating in a sponsored stream for ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’. The official ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Twitter account responded to Elon’s criticism of Hasan, and Hasan also invited Musk’s eldest daughter, Wilson, to his Twitch stream on March 28. During the stream, she provided an honest evaluation of Hasan’s gaming abilities.
As per Wilson’s account, Musk achieved a Bronze rank in the game Overwatch when he was 12 years old. Interestingly, his twin brother Griffin held a higher rank. She recalled instances where Musk would often request them to participate in ranked matches with him, perhaps hoping they could help him navigate more challenging opponents. It seems that Musk was predominantly a Bronze Torbjorn character, while Wilson herself was a skilled Hanzo player just barely in Silver. In a straightforward manner, Wilson candidly stated that “Musk was terribly bad” at Overwatch.
Vivian Wilson “90 Percent Sure” That Elon Musk Needed Carrying in Overwatch Matches
Wilson also took a playful jab at Musk regarding the recent uproar over his allegations in the gaming community, specifically with Path of Exile 2. Earlier this year, a Twitch streamer named Quin69 accused Musk of falsifying his high rank on the game’s leaderboard. The controversy led to Musk eventually admitting that he shared accounts for Path of Exile 2, but he insisted it was not an attempt to deceive others about his gaming skills. However, Wilson expressed skepticism about Musk being a skilled gamer, mockingly questioning his expertise in Path of Exile 2 and suggesting that pretending to be good at video games is unnecessary. “It’s perfectly okay not to be a gamer,” she humorously added.
As a dedicated fan, I’ve been following the gaming scene closely, and the ongoing saga surrounding Elon Musk’s skills has certainly piqued my interest. Initially, the uncertainty about his gaming abilities arose from the anticipation of Path of Exile 2. More recently, comments made by Wilson questioning his skill in Overwatch have added fuel to the skepticism.
However, Musk’s confession about boosting his Path of Exile 2 account has led to an unexpected twist. His ex-wife Grimes, surprisingly, has defended his gaming abilities, particularly in upcoming titles like Diablo 4 and The Battle of Polytopia. Intriguingly, Musk is said to have been the first US-based druid to conquer Diablo 4‘s Abbatoir of Zir dungeon, and even ended the season as the nation’s best player.
