Embark Studios has released a major update for ARC Raiders called Cold Snap, dramatically changing the game’s look and feel. The update adds a snowy environment, a new event called Flickering Flames, and several improvements that players have been requesting.
We’re adding a limit to how much Cred players can earn, preventing them from quickly gaining Feats and stockpiling Cred between seasons. This ensures players can’t immediately unlock all content in a new Raider Deck when it’s released, keeping things balanced.
No More Hoarding Cred in ARC Raiders
Players are excited about the recent updates to ARC Raiders from Embark Studios. The ‘Cold Snap’ update fixes key problems and also adds a lot of new content, including a holiday event and varied map conditions.
Okay, so ARC Raiders is getting a new season on December 26th, which is awesome! They’re adding a new Raider Deck with a bunch of exclusive stuff to earn. But honestly, a lot of us have been seriously grinding the Feats and earning tons of Creds lately, putting in the work for the next update. It’s good to know all that effort won’t be for nothing!
When the new Raider Deck is released, players will be able to easily unlock all of its content at once.
To address this issue, Embark Studios has limited the amount of Cred players can earn to a maximum of 800. Once you reach 800 Cred, you won’t be able to earn any more until you’ve spent some of it.
That also means that, ahead of a new season, the maximum Cred you can ‘bank’ will be 800.
The team explained:
We’ve added a limit to how much Cred players can use to instantly unlock new Raider Decks. We’ve also expanded the selection of items available in Shani’s store that can be purchased with Cred. Our goal is to make unlocking Raider Decks feel more rewarding, and having unlimited Cred takes away from that experience. Don’t worry, this change won’t affect any Cred you’ve already earned.
Embark Studios is being very player-friendly with this update. When you first log into ARC Raiders, your existing progress won’t be reduced to meet the new cap. The cap will only start affecting accounts from the next season, which begins on December 26th.
