Joel G., an imaginative animator and game developer, has stirred up the indie gaming scene with his creation, ENA: Dream BBQ. The anticipation for this project escalated significantly following the release of a standalone chapter called “Lonely Door.
Just like other successful independent games, such as Deltarune by Toby Fox, ENA Dream BBQ, and the team behind ENA plan to release their content in larger updates after the initial launch. They promise additional updates, further developing the intriguing and engaging storyline that forms part of their unique creative endeavor.
In Dream BBQ, you’ll encounter an array of intricately designed, laugh-out-loud characters, challenges to overcome, and seemingly infinite corridors to traverse. This game offers a delightful experience for both longtime enthusiasts and those just starting out.
A specific chore involves gathering critter-like companions that resemble slugs, using them as a means to amass some scrumptious chocolates. Of course, these candies serve as the ultimate form of currency in the vast, multi-dimensional web of digital media.
Ready to embark on a journey? This walkthrough will lead you through each stage as you discover and gather all the adoptable creatures hidden within Chapter 1: The Solitary Door, which are yours to keep at no cost!
Where To Find All Pets

After completing the initial stage of the game, receiving your main objective from Froggy, and stepping through the Solitary Door, numerous paths for progression within the game will be available to you.
Generally, the methods forward usually require interacting with a character you meet and resolving an issue or challenge they’re facing.
The style of play closely echoes the online cartoons of ENA and the settings in Dream BBQ further underscore this resemblance.
The arid region near The Lonely Door triggers memories of an original, retro-style dolphin character from Joel G.’s animation called Temptation Stairway.
Among numerous individuals to interact with, some barely identify themselves, but the person you need to hand over this job to is the man resembling a cardboard rocking horse in a trench coat. His name happens to be Shoryo.

Talk to him, and he’ll express his sorrow over his lost pets, offering a reward for anyone who can return them all.
They frequently leave behind blood traces as they go, which makes it easier to locate them.” This phrase conveys the same idea in a natural and easy-to-understand manner.
1st Pet

In the expansive desert-like region of the game, the pets are secretly tucked away in various high and low spots. Let’s start our journey near The Sage’s tent, where you can encounter an enigmatic character reminiscent of old-school wizards.
Follow the path of blood that’s been left behind the massive pile of building rubble, and there you’ll discover our initial pet. Although it may seem intimidating in appearance, simply walk up to it and engage to pick up the pet and take it with you.
You’re free to locate them whenever you prefer, since they don’t have a particular sequence for gathering. The initial pets displayed might vary as the game randomly selects among four different pets at the start of a new gameplay session.
2nd Pet

To your left as you exit the triangle-shaped structure resembling a ship in the desert, there’s a path stained with blood that leads under a rocky overpass. Make sure to watch your step and head towards the building.
Jump across from the path to the building, and the second pet will be beside the chain fence.
3rd Pet

From afar, you’ll notice a dilapidated structure that seems to be on the verge of collapse. If you’ve had a chat with The Bridge Keeper earlier, he would have pointed out a peculiar figure – a humanoid with a vibrant purple hue – perched precariously atop the crumbling building’s edge.
Make your way towards that location, and you’ll notice an increasing number of blood stains both on the exterior and interior walls, culminating right at the peak of the structure. By navigating over some scattered debris, you can ascend the building and locate the third pet situated at its summit.
4th Pet

Starting from the main square in the desert, head towards the enormous torso jutting out from a structure across the bridge spanning the canyon.
Or simply:
Navigate from the town center in the desert to the building on the other side of the canyon bridge where a massive torso is sticking out.
Here, it seems crossing isn’t possible, but if you gaze backward towards the plaza from this spot, you’ll find another path hidden at the rear side of a structure, which is a building.
In the type of environment where you’ve been exploring, it’s understandable if you miss the fact that this path is marked with a purplish hue. However, a trail with a purple tint guides you towards a narrow entrance found at the rear part of the structure. You can squeeze through this opening by crouching low.
In certain instances during the game, you’ll need to squat or crouch to perform a specific action. On a PC, the ‘Ctrl’ key is typically assigned as the shortcut for this function.
Upon entering, you’ll discover a submerged underground tunnel. A trail of violet fluid, resembling blood, marks the walls and guides you further into its depths.
Follow the path indicated by tiny green spirits on your left side, and you will notice that there are now two blood trails, one red and another purple.

If you stick to the purple path, you’ll come across an injured purple creature resembling a human. You might be curious about how he got hurt, and it won’t take long for you to suspect that those small, seemingly harmless pet slugs could actually be quite perilous.
After passing a rocky archway marked by red stains, take a left turn. This will put you squarely in front of the secret location where the fourth pet is concealed.

After all that’s been done, make your way back up and rejoin the individual who assigned you this duty. Rest assured, his children are safe and well, and in return, you will receive ten top-quality chocolate treats.

If Moony were present, it’s likely she’d quickly devour these chocolates, but it would be wise to hold onto them as you’ll need them for a different job later on.
