Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist hitting consoles and PC in January

As a seasoned gamer with over three decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia when I hear about the release date for Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist. The world of Fumes, with its hand-drawn post-apocalyptic charm, reminds me of the early days of my gaming journey, where every new world felt like an adventure waiting to unfold.

Binary Haze Interactive, the developer behind Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist, has disclosed when this game will exit early access and be available on consoles as well.

The game is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam for PC on January 23rd, 2025. This title takes place “decades after the events of ENDER LILIES”, where artificial life forms are causing chaos in the Land of Fumes. The developers have stated that the kingdom’s future rests with Lilac, an individual known as an “Attuner” who can remove corruption from hybrid beings. Players will uncover the reason behind the conflict between humans and Homunculi, while battling and purifying ten bosses possessed by evil to secure their allegiance and abilities.

In the realm called “Land of Mists,” this thriving magical empire is rich with hidden magical reserves beneath its soil. Eager to progress their nation, they created synthetic beings named Homunculi. Unfortunately, noxious vapors from deep within the earth caused the Homunculi to lose their sanity, transforming them into wild beasts.

In a subterranean lab, Lilac, a character with the ability to rescue Homunculi, encounters these very Homunculi who have significantly contributed to the kingdom’s decline. She embarks on a voyage to rediscover her forgotten memories and locate cherished companions in the Fumes’ Land. This journey takes place amidst a hand-drawn, post-apocalyptic setting, filled with destruction and renewal.

During our preliminary evaluation of the game, Mick commented: “Although the game’s short length during early access might not pose a significant issue, it does warrant a suggestion to hold off for a few updates. This is because you might encounter obstacles and have to wait for further development. However, the overall quality of what’s available now is generally high-quality, so if you can’t resist the urge to play immediately, you won’t be let down by the level of polish.

At the moment, it’s priced at £14.99, making it an ideal opportunity to try it out. Pre-orders for the physical edition in Japan are coming up soon, and we can expect other regions to follow shortly.

Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist will be released for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, as well as making its debut on PC through Steam on the 23rd of January.
