Amplitude Studios has declared the upcoming release of Endless Legend 2, a sequel to the cherished 2014 fantasy 4X game set in the magical hexagonal landscape of Saiadha. Gear up for an engaging turn-based strategy adventure as you explore this new world; the early access launch is expected in the first part of this year.
Today marked the studio’s one-year anniversary after reclaiming its autonomy from Sega. To commemorate, they unveiled a glimpse into an update of the original game. Endless Legend 2 features the “seasons and tidefalls” system and showcases a intricate oceanic environment for players to explore.
Endless Legend 2 Saiadha Depths
In the upcoming sequel to Endless Legend, you’ll encounter six distinctive factions, each with its own gameplay strategies, strong points, and ideologies. Four of them will be available from the initial release, while the remaining two will be added at a later time.
In continuation of the Endless Legend series, this game offers an engaging experience by blending fresh mechanics with its trademark turn-based 4x strategy. One striking novelty is the seasons and tidefall systems. The recurring rise and fall of these elements frequently alters Saiadha’s landscape into either a challenge or an opportunity for further exploration, revealing hidden secrets beneath the waves.
Amplitude Studio has announced that they plan to release their game in early access by early 2025, though a specific date hasn’t been set yet. Starting from January 30, you can enroll in the Insider Program to test pre-release builds and contribute feedback during the entire development process of the game.
The release of Endless Legend 2 represents a significant achievement for its developers, being their first significant project since leaving Sega. Towards the end of last year, the creators of Humankind and Endless Legend decided to take a daring leap by breaking away from their previous company, sparking curiosity among the community about what this independence would yield.
According to the studio director, Romain de Waubert de Genlis, this decision enables us to adapt quickly in our methods while still adhering to our initial vision, giving us the freedom to explore new limits and connect even more closely with our community.
The two different groups, constantly changing settings, and ever-evolving creation of the world make Endless Legend 2 a worthy follow-up to the first one. Soon, you’ll have the chance to try out your strategic skills as you strive for power in the dynamic oceanic environment of Saiadha. For now, you can just join the Insider Program to stay updated on the game’s progress.
