In Poppy Playtime, Chapter 5 introduces Giblet & Chum, another pair of unforgettable characters. Once you meet them, you’ll head to the Engineering bay and have to get three power sources working at the same time. This will give Chum the energy he needs and let you move forward.
How to Solve the Engineering Power Puzzle in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5
Once you go inside the Engineering bar, Giblet will ask you to turn the power back on to open the red doors upstairs. There are three key power sources you’ll need to find in the room.
- The Pressure Tube (First Power Light)
- Red Valve (Second Power Light)
- The Trolley/Cart Plug (Third Power Light)
To get all the lights green and move the platform to the right, you need to turn on all the power sources simultaneously. Here’s the most effective order to activate them, helping you solve the engineering puzzle in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5.
- First, you’ll need to charge up the Pressure Tube and pull the lever once the fluid is past the red line to activate it. Now you can free up your hand and head to the next power source.
- Head down from the platform and start turning the valve.
- While you’re turning the valve, grab the trolley/cart plug and pull it into the socket.
Okay, so once I get all three power sources online in Engineering, that platform hanging up there will start moving to the right. I can let go of the red valve after I turn it on, but here’s the important part: I have to keep holding onto the plug connected to the trolley, otherwise it’ll shut off!
Pay attention to the power lights in the room. If a light goes out, it tells you which power source has been turned off, so you can go fix it right away. Be quick when you restore power, though – the first two power sources are timed, and you’ll need to hold the last one in place.
To move the platform across, make sure all the power lights stay lit. Once the platform reaches the end, you’ll solve the power puzzle in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5. Then, just grab the hanging platform to climb up. Use the Blue Hand on the scanner to continue to the next part of the game.
