Agnes’ health had been steadily worsening for months before her death due to a long-term illness and the effects of a stroke. Her family kept her community informed about her condition. After being admitted to the hospital in October, she didn’t get better. Her grandson, Culsans, announced on December 21st that she passed away peacefully with her daughter, Pauline, by her side. Fans are now sharing tributes and expressing their gratitude for the happiness she brought to so many through her online presence, fondly remembering her as Epic Gamer Grandma.
Agnes isn’t alone – many older gamers are becoming popular online, showing a growing trend of senior creators finding success on social media. One well-known example is Shirley Curry, affectionately known as “Skyrim Grandma.” She gained over 1.3 million followers over ten years by playing The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. However, Shirley retired from making Skyrim videos in September, explaining she was tired of running her YouTube channel and wanted to enjoy other interests, and simply wasn’t having fun anymore.

People enjoy watching his videos because they’re fascinated by both his life story and his gaming abilities.
