As an avid gamer and long-time user of the Epic Games Store, I’m always excited to see what freebies are in store for us every week. The ability to claim a few games each month is a great perk of being part of the EGS community.
Starting July 25, Epic Games Store will be offering FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch for free with an additional bonus item. The selection of free games on Epic Games Store changes frequently. Some weeks only feature one free game, while other weeks may include two or more free titles. In certain cases, users receive content for free-to-play games as well.
Every Thursday at 10:00am Central Time, Epic Games Store users are invited to start up the EGS launcher to discover the latest free gifts and to collect the current week’s complimentary games. From July 18 to July 25, these freebies include “Arcade Paradise” and “Maid of Sker”. The former is a game where players transform a laundromat into an arcade, filled with various playable machines for enthusiasts to explore. The latter, on the other hand, is a psychological horror title. Both games are available for free during this period before being replaced by new offerings a week later.
Between July 25 and August 1, Epic Games Store customers can obtain two freebies: the Metroidvania game “FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch,” and Paris 2024 Olympics-themed outfits for “Olympics GO!” The costumes feature the appearance of the Paris 2024 Olympics mascot. Though some EGS users might be intrigued by “Olympics GO! Paris 2024,” it’s likely that most will be drawn to “FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch” due to its generally favorable reviews from critics and a high user rating on Steam.

Some users of Epic Games Store might be disappointed to find that the free game lineup for July 25 to August 1 includes a repeat “FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch.” This game was previously offered for free last year as part of the Epic Games Store’s daily giveaways. Regular users who claimed every week’s free game should already have it, but those who missed out can still add it to their collection if they’re fans of the Metroidvania genre.
