The Epic Games Store is giving away Botany Manor for free on February 5th, along with one downloadable content pack. This comes after a generous January where the store gave away over $200 worth of games.
Recently, Epic Games gave away Rustler – Grand Theft Horse, an open-world action game set in medieval times. It’s designed with a similar style to classic Grand Theft Auto games from the 2D era. Rustler was free to claim from January 22nd to 29th, and has now been replaced with another free game: Definitely Not Fried Chicken.
Epic Games Store Giving Away Botany Manor, Pixel Gun 3D DLC Next Week
Okay, so I just checked the Epic Games Store and they’ve already announced next week’s free games! It’s gonna be Botany Manor and a cool set for Pixel Gun 3D called the Poison Retro Set. Neither of these have ever been free before, which is pretty awesome – they’re both fairly new games. We can grab them starting February 5th and up until February 12th – the deal goes live at 8am Pacific Time (11am Eastern, 5pm Central European Time). Usually, both of these cost $24.99 each, so this giveaway is worth almost double what we’re getting this week! Definitely marking my calendar for that one.
Current and Upcoming Epic Games Store Feebies
| Freebie | Value | Free Period |
|---|---|---|
| Definitely Not Fried Chicken | $24.99 | Jan 29 – Feb 5 |
| Botany Manor | $24.99 | Feb 5 – Feb 12 |
| Poison Retro Set | $24.99 | Feb 5 – Feb 12 |
Botany Manor Is a Treat for Fans of Cozy Exploration
Among the two free games being offered, Botany Manor is receiving the most praise from critics. Developed by Balloon Studios, this puzzle game quickly gained attention after its release in spring 2024. It achieved a high score of 83 on OpenCritic, with 91% of reviewers recommending it – placing it among the top 11% of all games rated on the site. Reviewers especially enjoyed its relaxing feel, clever and diverse puzzles, and beautiful Victorian English setting. Botany Manor has become known as one of the best puzzle games released in 2024.
So far in 2026, Epic Games has given away six free games. Of those, only Total War: Three Kingdoms has received slightly better reviews than Botany Manor. Pixel Gun 3D hasn’t earned as much critical praise, but it’s been consistently popular since it first launched on mobile devices in 2013. Although it looks similar to Minecraft with its blocky style, Pixel Gun 3D is a very different game – it’s a shooter. Developed by Cubic Games Studio, the game’s long-lasting success is likely due to its many different multiplayer modes and the fact that it’s free to play.
While players wait for the winners of the Poison Retro Set and Botany Manor giveaways to be announced, Epic Games Store is offering Definitely Not Fried Chicken as a free game until February 5th. This quirky management simulator, released in September 2023, lets you build a criminal empire disguised as a fast-food business – think a lighthearted take on the world of Breaking Bad. It’s all about building a business, but with a secret, slightly illegal side!
