The sci-fi survival management game Symmetry, created by Sleepless Clinic, is currently available for free on the Epic Games Store. It’s one of four games Epic Games Store users can get at no cost right now.
For nearly ten years, the Epic Games Store has given away at least one free game each week. These free games have included everything from small, independent titles like Universe for Sale to big, popular releases like Hogwarts Legacy. So far in 2026, the store has offered 20 free games, and sometimes they even add an extra bonus game. This week is one of those times, as Symmetry is now available as a free download alongside the usual weekly offering.
Symmetry Is Free on the Epic Games Store
- Symmetry is free until April 1
From now until April 1st, Epic Games Store users can get the game Symmetry for free. Released in 2018, Symmetry puts you in charge of a spaceship crew who have crash-landed on a deserted planet. You’ll need to manage your crew’s needs – making sure they’re fed and rested – so they can repair the ship. But beware! The planet’s harsh weather and strange creatures will try to stop you, and the choices you make will determine whether your new colony survives.

When Symmetry was released in 2018, critics weren’t overly impressed. It received an average score of 63 on OpenCritic, and only 13% of critics recommended it. While reviewers generally liked the game’s art and story, they found the gameplay frustrating due to awkward controls, a lack of content, and a high level of difficulty.
Every Free Game Available on the Epic Games Store Right Now
- Wave Gods: Ammo Night is free until March 29
- Havendock is free until April 2
- Hyper Echelon is free until April 2
Right now, the Epic Games Store has four free games you can download. One of them is called Symmetry. You can also play Wave Gods: Ammo Night, a zombie shooter for up to six players, for free until March 29th. Plus, Havendock and Hyper Echelon are both available as free weekly games until April 2nd.
Coming in April 2025, Havendock is a relaxing town-building game where you create a settlement on the water. You’ll gather resources from floating wreckage, construct different buildings, farm crops, raise animals, and attract new residents, ultimately growing your raft into a lively little city. In contrast, Hyper Echelon is a fast-paced, classic sci-fi shooter that first came out in November 2021. Players team up with wingmen to fight through 10 unique worlds, destroying alien enemies and improving their ship with powerful upgrades.
Starting April 2nd, two free games on the Epic Games Store, Havendock and Hyper Echelon, will be replaced with a new title: Clone Drone in the Danger Zone. This sci-fi game, originally released in 2021, is a fast-paced action game where you play as a robot gladiator battling in both player-versus-player and player-versus-environment combat. Unlike Hyper Echelon, Clone Drone in the Danger Zone features a unique “voxel slice-em-up” style and offers online multiplayer, co-op, and a single-player story mode. You’ll be able to grab it for free between April 2nd and 9th.
