Epic Games Store’s Final Free Game of 2025 is a Medieval Smash Hit Fans Are Rushing to Claim

When you think of the Middle Ages, what comes to mind? Do you picture cozy, festive scenes, or does it make you think of disease and hardship?

No matter how you feel about European history, you’ll likely enjoy Chivalry 2, and you can even try it for free until tomorrow!

Epic Games Store is ending its yearly holiday free games with Chivalry 2. It’s the final title they’re giving away this year.

As a fan, I can tell you this game, made by Torn Banner Studios, is seriously intense! It’s a multiplayer first-person experience where you’re thrown right into the chaos of huge, epic medieval battles. It’s really brutal and feels incredibly immersive.

Chivalry 2 perfectly captures the feel of medieval warfare – think swords, shields, arrows, and siege weapons – with a combat system that’s both realistic and incredibly rewarding, enhanced by impactful visual effects.

While some players are worried about future updates and bug fixes for Chivalry 2, as Torn Banner is also developing No More Room in Hell 2, this doesn’t detract from the fact that Chivalry 2 remains a very enjoyable game.

The Epic Games Holidays Are Over

While many are enjoying Chivalry 2, it’s a bit disappointing that the holiday season – and Epic’s free gifts with it – has come to an end.

Chivalry 2 perfectly captures the feel of medieval combat with its realistic swords, shields, arrows, and siege weapons like trebuchets.

As a gamer, I was seriously impressed with the Epic Games Store this year! They gave away thirteen free games, and honestly, there were some huge titles mixed in with some really cool indie games I might not have found otherwise. Even if you didn’t grab them when they were free, I still think they’re worth looking into!
