Samsung Could Help Nintendo Produce 20 Million Switch 2 Units Through March 2026

Previously, Nintendo and Samsung have worked together on components such as screens and memory units, making this latest partnership hardly a novelty. Nevertheless, opting for Samsung over Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to manufacture the processors for Switch 2 is a significant move, given TSMC’s long-standing reputation as the primary supplier of chips across the electronic industry. Interestingly, Nintendo initially considered having TSMC produce the Nvidia-designed chipset that boosts the power of Switch 2 by ten times compared to its predecessor, but in the end, they chose Samsung instead.

According to reports, Nintendo is optimistic that their partnership with Samsung will allow them to increase production as required. As long as console assembly can keep pace with chip manufacturing, this collaboration might potentially boost Switch 2 sales past the 20 million mark if need be.
