Escape From Tarkov Confirms Plans For Four Story Endings

Escape From Tarkov will eventually have four different endings to its main storyline. However, according to Battlestate Games’ Nikita Buyanov, not all players will be able to achieve the most optimal outcome.

The online shooter *Escape From Tarkov* is getting closer to its official 1.0 release after being in development since 2017. It will also be available on Steam, though it’s unclear if it will launch on November 15th, the same day as the 1.0 version. The developers, Battlestate Games, are sharing details about what players can anticipate when the game fully launches.

Only Around 2% of Players Will be Able to Get Escape From Tarkov’s Best Ending

I was really excited to hear what the head of Battlestate Games, Nikita Buyanov, had to say at the Tokyo Game Show 2025! He talked about the main campaign for *Escape From Tarkov*, and it sounds intense. Apparently, there are going to be four different endings, and how you play through the game – how much you complete and how far you get – will decide which one you get. He said getting the best ending will be incredibly difficult, and honestly, most of us won’t even make it out of Tarkov! He estimates only around 2% of players will actually escape, and he even said it should be considered a huge accomplishment if you do. It’s going to be a real challenge, but I’m definitely up for it!

Currently, *Escape From Tarkov* has quests, but they don’t connect to form a larger story – that’s something the developers are planning for the future. We don’t know yet how extensive this story campaign will be, or if it will be ready when the game officially launches as version 1.0. However, it’s encouraging to hear that *Escape From Tarkov* will eventually offer a more structured experience for players who want it.

Escape From Tarkov still has some major hurdles to clear before its official 1.0 release. Battlestate Games has been constantly battling cheaters for years, and it would be disappointing if those problems continued after the full launch, particularly with the expected surge of new players coming from the Steam release.
