Escape From Tarkov Could Be Teasing a Surprising Crossover

Okay, so it looks like Escape From Tarkov might be hinting at a crossover with Escape From Duckov – yeah, that’s another extraction shooter kinda like Tarkov, but a bit different. Both games have been posting stuff on social media that’s got everyone thinking this could actually happen, and honestly, it would be a pretty wild surprise if it did!

As a long-time fan, it was amazing to finally see Escape From Tarkov officially launch in November 2025 after all those years in early access! It’s cool to think of it as the game that really started the whole ‘extraction shooter’ thing – you see that style in games like ARC Raiders and Arena Breakout: Infinite now. Even though the launch wasn’t perfect – there was a lot of frustration with server problems and the game got review bombed – it feels like things have really turned around. Battlestate Games is totally focused on adding new content, and the game’s community is still incredibly dedicated. It’s awesome to see it thriving!

Escape From Tarkov Could Be Teasing an Escape From Duckov Crossover

About two weeks ago, the game Escape From Duckov, inspired by Escape From Tarkov, announced its first collaboration and asked fans to speculate about it. Since then, there haven’t been any updates. However, the official Escape From Tarkov account recently released a new promo code, WILDHUNT, which gives players in-game items. The announcement included a screenshot from the game showing shooting gallery targets decorated with ducks. While it’s not a confirmation, this could be a clue about the upcoming collaboration.

Nikita Buyanov, the CEO of Battlestate Games, recently hinted at a possible collaboration with the developers of Escape From Duckov in a cryptic online post saying, “I love ducks what can I say.” While it’s all just rumors for now, many fans are excited by the idea, especially considering the similarities between Escape From Tarkov and Escape From Duckov. Players will have to wait a few weeks to see if either studio confirms a crossover.

It might seem surprising, but Escape From Tarkov is starting to follow a trend of games featuring crossovers – collaborations with other franchises. We’ve seen this a lot recently with popular titles like Call of Duty and Battlefield, which let players experience content from different games within their own. While these crossovers can be fun, they’re often met with criticism, as some players feel they break the immersive experience. If a crossover between Escape From Tarkov and, say, Escape From Duckov were to happen, it’s hard to predict how the communities of either game would respond.

With Escape From Tarkov now released, the developers are looking ahead. Battlestate Games recently previewed content planned for 2026, including some promising new maps. Despite growing competition in the extraction shooter genre, Escape From Tarkov remains popular and doesn’t appear to be losing steam. The next year will be crucial for the game and will likely determine its long-term success with players.
