Hey everyone, awesome news for Escape from Tarkov fans! Battlestate Games just announced a new Twitch Drops event starting today, December 22nd, and it runs all the way to January 4th. You can start earning rewards at 3 PM GMT / 10 AM EST today – they’re giving away a bunch of cool in-game items just for watching streams, so definitely check it out!
Battlestate Games announced in a blog post that all viewers watching any Escape from Tarkov streamer are guaranteed to receive in-game items and unlockable containers.
When Does The Tarkov Drops Event End?
There’s still time to earn rewards in the Escape from Tarkov event throughout the holidays and into the new year. A recent blog post confirmed the event will end at 3 PM GMT / 10 AM EST on January 4th.
Here’s the need-to-know:
Twitch Drops will be available for all streamers broadcasting in the Escape from Tarkov category – everyone who streams in that category will have Drops enabled.
Drops – in-game items
Throughout the campaign, you’ll regularly receive unlockable containers. These containers hold items of different rarities: Common, Rare, and Epic.
The best part of this Drops event is that everyone can participate, including players who only play the PvE mode. Recently, there’s been some frustration from PvE players who felt like those in PvP were getting more benefits, and this event aims to address that.
The team at Battlestate Games has promised to add more content for players who enjoy playing against the environment (PvE), recognizing that a significant number of players prefer this style of gameplay.
Here are the rules for the Twitch Drops campaign:
- Drops can be earned by users who have an active copy of the game
- To receive or enable Drops, both the viewer and the streamer need to attach their Twitch account to their game profile on the project’s website. You can do this here
- You can watch one or more broadcasts, but viewing time for rewards will only count if those broadcasts are participating in the event
