Nikita Buyanov from Battlestate Games recently shared updates about the future of Escape from Tarkov at the Tokyo Game Fest. He announced that the full 1.0 version of the game will launch on Steam on November 15th, bringing it to a wider player base.
In a recent video, Nikita revealed that a console version of Escape from Tarkov is in development. He also mentioned plans for new games within the Tarkov universe, as well as downloadable content for the existing game after its release.
Tarkov is Finally Coming to Console, But When?
We don’t know when Escape from Tarkov will be available on consoles, and it’s hard to say what the console version will be like. Many expect it to be a simplified version of the PC game, as some of the game’s complex features are best controlled with a keyboard and mouse.
Here’s the full video, uploaded by Battlestate Games earlier today:
This is just a quick note, but at 2:10 AM, Nikita mentioned (while discussing BSG’s current projects):
Also, the console version, by the way.
That’s it—the truth of the matter from the horse’s mouth.
Escape from Tarkov has been in development for nearly a decade, and in beta for the last eight years. Battlestate Games has consistently updated the game with changes and new content roughly every six months. All of that development culminates next month when Escape from Tarkov officially launches as a fully released version 1.0.
The next big update will introduce a new map, new groups of enemies, and a story mode where players can finally leave Tarkov, with four different possible outcomes.
We’re considering bringing Escape from Tarkov to consoles and want to hear your thoughts! Share your opinions on the TopMob Discord server.
