Battlestate Games announced that following the conclusion of the ongoing event, The Labyrinth – their latest and most challenging map for Escape from Tarkov – will remain in regular rotation. Initially considered a temporary special feature, its popularity has led to Battlestate Games deciding to keep it as part of the map selection permanently.
Regrettably, what makes this map exceptionally challenging has led to its becoming even harder to reach. Moreover, the rewards you’d find there are being reduced, and acquiring the necessary Labrys keycards for access will prove slightly more challenging.
Bigger Challenge
The Labyrinth is highly esteemed in the contemporary history of Escape from Tarkov, offering a balanced challenge for skilled gamers while providing ample experience points and attractive rewards for newcomers, whether they play against AI (PvE) or other players (PvP).
On their social media platforms, Battlestate Games disclosed a variety of updates related to Escape from Tarkov’s upcoming modifications within The Labyrinth.
- The Labyrinth location will remain accessible after the event is over, however the access to it will be more difficult
- All event tasks will remain available after the event is over (except Ref’s tasks)
- Access to Lightkeeper will remain available for players who received the transmitter during the event
- The event achievements will become unavailable for obtaining after the event is over.
- Simplified access to Lightkeeper will be disabled after the event is over; unlocking the trader will only be possible using the standard means
- Labrys keycards will be available only through Therapist and Ragman barters
- Shadow of Tagilla and his guards spawn chance will be reduced on the location
- Valuable loot spawn chance will be reduced on the location
- After the wipe, the event posters will be available only after completing the related tasks
- The Minotaur’s Lair Hideout customization style will only be available to players who have obtained the Dungeon Master achievement
If you haven’t finished The Labyrinth by now, you have until April 21st to accomplish the task. Good luck, as you’ll surely find it challenging.
