Escape The Backrooms is a cooperative horror game where you and your friends explore confusing labyrinths, solve puzzles, and avoid terrifying creatures. Each level is designed like a maze, trapping players until they can figure out a puzzle or complete an objective to move forward. This guide will focus on helping you discover the codes needed for the color-coded elevator keypad.
How to Find the Elevator Code in Escape The Backrooms (Color Sequence)
After finishing Level 0 and arriving at the Habitable Zone (Level Two) in Escape The Backrooms, players will find a locked elevator.
When the Habitable Zone level begins, players emerge from air vents into a parking garage. To escape, you’ll need to unlock an elevator located to the left. This elevator is secured by a keypad on the right, which has buttons of different colors.
To advance to the next area of the Habitable Zone level, players must figure out the right sequence of buttons to press – essentially, the elevator code.
To find the elevator in Escape the Backrooms, head right and look for a red door across the parking lot. Go through the parking garage and enter the room with that red door. Luckily, you won’t encounter any monsters in this area.
You can also search other rooms nearby for useful items, such as a flashlight or drinks to help you regain your composure.
Okay, so I just went through the red door, and I’m in this little parking area. It’s full of cars, but they’re all different colors. Turns out, the way those cars are parked – their positions – is actually the code I need to get the elevator working on the Habitable Zone level of Escape The Backrooms. Gotta remember this!
To unlock the elevator, you need to remember the colors of the cars parked on each side, going from left to right. The code changes each time you play, so use the image above to help you figure it out.
After you determine the correct color sequence, go to the elevator and enter it into the keypad to open it. Successfully entering the code will allow you to advance to the next area of the Habitable Zone level in Escape The Backrooms.
