Okay, the trailer ended with this girl – looks like a young blonde – talking to Leon on the radio just as he goes back inside the Raccoon City Police Department. Seriously, seeing that building, even all broken down, instantly brought back memories and a really creepy vibe – it’s perfect for the new story. Everyone’s guessing who she is, and a lot of us think it might be Sherry Birkin! Her dad was the scientist who created the T-virus, and Leon and Claire saved her in Resident Evil 2, so it would be awesome if she was back to help out again. We don’t know why Leon’s going back to the RPD yet, but just the idea of him being there again in that iconic place has everyone hyped about where the story could go!
Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed, many fans believe the woman shown in the new trailer is Sherry Birkin. If true, pairing her with Leon and Grace would be a great way to link the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem to previous games in the series. Beyond that speculation, players are excited to hear that Resident Evil Requiem will be optimized for the PS5 Pro. Capcom hasn’t revealed exactly what that support will include, but PS5 Pro owners can generally expect improved graphics and performance. Fans can stay updated on Resident Evil Requiem before its release on February 27th, when they’ll once again face the terrors of Raccoon City.
