Eternal Strands: How To Get Ember’s Servant Strand

In the thrilling world of Eternal Strands, I find myself venturing into the formidable realm of Upper Dynevron, where the challenges are ramped up a notch. New, towering enemies await, their strength a force to be reckoned with. This realm seems to house an abundance of Ark units compared to those I’ve encountered before, and they come in a variety of melee and ranged types. These units can unleash potent elemental attacks on my character, Brynn, making every battle a test of strategy and skill.

In the same vein as previous domains, there’s a fresh Epic Battle emerging in Upper Dynevron. This battle pits players against a new version of the Ark boss, the Ark of the Living Flame. Unlike its predecessors, this heat-emanating boss shoots out flaming projectiles. However, the catch is that players can reap higher-value loot even before defeating the boss itself.

Recommended Builds Before Fight

Prior to entering combat, remember that this boss primarily inflicts Heat damage. To protect yourself effectively, consider enhancing your armor pieces with materials that offer high levels of Heat resistance instead.

In terms of dishing out damage, it’s useful to have both close combat and long-range weapons at your disposal. Given that the boss is resistant to cold and strong in heat, firing flaming arrows with a Flame Bow will increase overall damage significantly, although the lingering flames on its body may only cause minor harm. Generally speaking, standard arrows work just as well.

Either the initial Sword & Shield, or Frost Sword & Shield (if you’ve acquired the blueprint), are perfectly suitable for this task. The strategy involves scaling the boss’s body to inflict melee damage, so the added frost elemental damage won’t be essential in this scenario.

Special Spots Of Ark Of The Living Flame

Much like the Ark of the Stricken Earth, the Living Flame variant sports certain areas on its body that are not vulnerable. Contrary to the Ark, though, the Living Flame’s weak points are already exposed, allowing players to inflict damage directly onto them without needing to focus on those special spots. However, focusing on these special spots on the Living Flame of Ark can yield valuable loot such as Cinder-Infused Linen (5-star) and Refined Serenite (4-star).

The Living Flame consists of five vital points altogether: Two at the wrist’s summit, two behind the knees, and one on the torso. The chest spot can be struck with ease using the bow, but the others are more effectively damaged with a sword. Remember that once you break through the shell at these significant spots, a red muscle emerges, requiring further destruction to release the precious resource of high value.

Obtaining Ember’s Servant Strand

As a devoted enthusiast, I’d like to share some strategies for tackling the formidable Living Flame foe. Once you’ve gathered your material drops, zero in on its vulnerable areas – the belly, arms, and lower half of the legs. These weak spots will take longer for the boss to develop immunity. By focusing your attacks on its belly, you can deplete nearly half of its health before it becomes immune. However, keep in mind that the legs are quite accessible with a well-timed sword strike.

Keep in mind that Living Flame may swiftly reach out to grab you and discard you before Stricken Earth does. Therefore, if you notice the hand is coming for you, simply dive and flee immediately.

Following the conquest of the Ark of the Ever-Burning Embers, it yields Ember’s Vassal Thread. Handling this Thread over to Dahm within the encampment grants Brynn the privilege to unlock a fresh Fire talent, enabling her to conjure a comrade for aid.
