Every Borderlands 4 Skill Tree Leaked or Revealed So Far

Though Borderlands 4 is yet to be released for several weeks, enthusiasts are already constructing their ideal Vault Hunters by utilizing leaked and officially disclosed skill trees. With the skill sets for characters Vex and Rafa now completely unveiled, players have ample time to analyze each character’s strengths and weaknesses in search of optimal early combinations. Meanwhile, a complete leak of Amon’s skill tree has sparked much discussion on Reddit and YouTube, although Gearbox has not yet verified the authenticity of this leak. Despite this uncertainty, with Vex and Rafa making up half of Borderlands 4’s Vault Hunter roster, players can now better plan their strategies prior to the game’s launch.

Among all the Vault Hunters, Harlowe stands out as the most enigmatic character at the moment. Unlike the others, her skill tree remains a secret, neither leaked nor disclosed. While details about her Action Skills and Trait have been made public, that’s pretty much everything we know about her gameplay. It’s possible that Gearbox has a major reveal planned for Harlowe, or they might be saving her for the release of Borderlands 4. This mystery surrounding her skill tree suggests that she could bring some unanticipated gameplay elements to the table that other characters don’t offer in Borderlands 4.

Three Skill Trees Have Been Revealed or Leaked, but One Remains Untouched

Vex Is All About Survivability, Crowd Control, and Elemental Manipulation

In “Borderlands 4,” Vex excels in elemental combat and managing crowds with her companion abilities, making her an excellent choice for solo players seeking a balance between adaptability and durability. Vex’s constant passive trait is Phase Covenant, which synchronizes the type of elemental damage from her Action Skill and melee attacks with the weapon she is currently using. Regarding her Action Skills, they lead each of her three skill trees, allowing players to select from Dead Ringer, Incarnate, and Phase Phamiliar, all boasting numerous skills to unlock.

  • Dead Ringer:Vex spawns a posse of Phase Clone Minions that continually lose health from the moment they spawn, but they can be great for crowd control.
  • Incarnate: Unleashes Phase Explosions upon activation, an area-of-effect skill that deals damage to enemies and simultaneously heals Vex. She then enters a temporary powered-up state that increases her movement speed and grants her the ability to fire powerful Eldritch Blasts.
  • Phase Phamiliar: Vex commands Trouble to teleport to and deal damage in an area before transforming into a Badass.

Rafa Is About as Aggressive as They Come

In contrast to Vex who excels in managing crowds and staying alive, Rafa’s abilities in Borderlands 4 are geared towards dealing high damage. One of his standout Action Skills is the Peacebreaker Cannons, which summon automatic turrets to hold off foot soldiers, allowing players to concentrate on bigger targets. Yet, what truly sets him apart is his Overdrive Trait. This trait not only boosts his speed and damage when an Action Skill is activated but also encourages players to utilize their Action Skill more frequently, all while making Rafa stronger as a result.

  • Arc-Knives: Shifts perspective from first-person to third-person, allowing players to use Rafa’s Arc-Knives with maximum precision and spatial awareness. Rafa’s Blade Fury ability can then be used to end the Action Skill and unleash a powerful Shock Damage-infused whirlwind attack.
  • Peacebreaker Cannons: Rafa summons an extra gun over each shoulder that automatically seeks and destroys targets in front of him. The Peacebreaker Cannons can be modified to fire different ammo with Rafa’s passive skills, and players can even transform them into a stationary turret if they wish.
  • APOPHIS Lance: Rafa’s arm is converted into a cannon that fires piercing plasma orbs at enemies. APOPHIS Lance also includes multiple charges with each activation.

Amon’s Tree May Be Leaked, but Harlowe’s Still a Black Box

In the upcoming game Borderlands 4, it’s been leaked that Amon’s skill trees will create a versatile Vault Hunter capable of excelling in close-quarters, ranged, and defensive battles. The trees, dubbed “Disaster,” “Revenge,” and “Neuromechanical” (though these names might change), seem to revolve around both the style of play and elemental damage types. Disaster appears to emphasize melee combat and fire damage, while Revenge seems to center around shield-based combat with frost damage. The Neuromechanical tree gives Amon a throwable axe that can be retrieved for reuse.

As the launch date for Borderlands 4 approaches, it appears that only Harlowe remains unofficially identified. Gearbox Software seems to be gradually revealing the roles of each character in the game, suggesting that we might soon learn more about Amon too.
