Originally, Roronoa Zoro hails from the Shimotsuki clan of Wano, has a proficiency with swords, and spent his early years among exiles who found their home in East Blue. Both had vowed that one day they would become the world’s greatest swordswoman or swordsperson. The tragic death of Kuina left Zoro grief-stricken, causing him to redouble his efforts to fulfill their shared dream.
