Every Destiny: Rising Feature Confirmed So Far

As a seasoned Guardian who has traversed the cosmos in pursuit of Light and glory, I must say that the announcement of “Destiny: Rising” has sent shockwaves through my digital existence. Having spent countless hours on my console, mastering the art of the Hunter, Titan, and Warlock, I was initially skeptical about a mobile version of our beloved franchise.

In about ten years, the popular “Destiny” series is set to debut its initial spin-off title called “Destiny: Rising“. This new game, developed by NetEase Games, is currently being worked on in its early stages of development, with a select number of testers able to play it starting from November 1st this year. Unlike previous games such as “Destiny 1” or “2”, “Destiny: Rising” will be exclusively available on mobile devices like IOS and Android, rather than consoles. Although it may appear similar at first glance, “Destiny: Rising” will introduce new features that long-time fans of the franchise will appreciate in addition to its traditional aspects.

Destiny: Rising’s Classic Features Explained

Even though it’s a mobile game, Destiny: Rising will still share similarities with both Destiny 1 and 2, primarily because they are all first-person shooters centered around PvE (Player vs Environment) scenarios. You can complete these scenarios either solo or with a team. Scenarios like campaign missions, destination exploration, and strike missions will be returning in Destiny: Rising. Although the game is set in an alternate universe during a time before the Tower’s construction or the Vanguard’s formation, there will still be opportunities for PvP (Player vs Player) matches online. Both PvE and PvP scenarios in Destiny: Rising are anticipated to be repeatable, much like they are in Destiny 2.

In Destiny: Rising, you’ll continue to discover or buy a wide array of primary weapons suitable for both player-versus-environment (PvE) and player-versus-player (PvP) scenarios. Although the game is set shortly after The Collapse, a time when many Exotic weapons were initially crafted, you’ll still have access to countless powerful Exotic weapons to enhance your collection.

Destiny: Rising’s New Features Explained

In the new mobile game, Destiny: Rising, fans will recognize the fundamental gameplay and visual style from the original series. However, some changes might catch veteran players off guard. For instance, while you can still create your Guardian, known as Wolf in this version, you’ll also have the option to play as other powerful Lightbearers like Ikora Rey, each with distinct abilities.

In the upcoming game Destiny: Rising, Special and Heavy weapon slots have been done away with and replaced by a single Power weapons slot. Apart from Primary and Power weapons, Guardians will also be equipped with unique Relics that can be customized with two Signature abilities and numerous perks. For instance, a character like Wolf might use Auto Rifles as his Primary Weapon and Grenade Launchers for Power Weapons, while another character such as Kabr could wield the Thunder Shield as his Relic, similar to the Aegis in the Vault of Glass. Destiny: Rising will also introduce a new weapon class, Mythic weapons, beyond Exotics; one example of this is a crossbow-like weapon within this category.

Destiny: Rising’s New Game Modes

In the upcoming game called Destiny: Rising, gameplay will resemble that of the standard Destiny series, but it introduces fresh game modes to explore. Instead of regular Strike missions, players can engage in Haven Ops Strikes, shorter and swift missions presumably named after the main hub area, Haven. For a tougher challenge, there are Gauntlet Ops, similar to raids. Additionally, players can fight against the forces of Darkness and Guardians in various other, yet unspecified modes like Morgran’s Prey, Legacy, Realms of the IX, and Shifting Gates. Early participants of Destiny: Rising‘s Closed Alpha will have the opportunity to test out some of these new game modes for the first time.

As a gamer hailing from the United States or Canada, I’m excited to share that I can sign up for a chance to participate in the Closed Alpha Test of Destiny: Rising, kicking off this coming Friday, November 1st! Head over to playdestinyrising.com to secure my spot.
