The Gods of Destruction in Dragon Ball are incredibly powerful beings, arguably the strongest in the entire multiverse. They’re specifically selected from each universe because of their immense power, and anyone holding this position is guaranteed to be a formidable opponent.
Dragon Ball has shown us that Gods of Destruction aren’t all equally powerful. This article will attempt to rank them from weakest to strongest, but keep in mind that much of this is based on educated guesses, as we haven’t seen enough definitive displays of power from every God of Destruction.
Sidra’s Hakai Was Superseded By Two Mortals
Destroyer of Universe 9
-
Gods of Destruction are defined by having unmatched power – being the strongest in their universe. While Sidra is incredibly strong, he’s actually one of the weaker Destroyers. His Energy of Destruction wasn’t able to eliminate Goku and Frieza, even after they made a deal with him. Although he boasts exceptional defensive skills, this one failure is enough to place him as the weakest among his peers.
Mule Barely Did Anything In The Destroyer Sparring Match
Destroyer of Universe 3

During the exhibition match, Mule didn’t contribute much to the offense. Initially, Beerus used him simply to draw attention away from himself. Later, a quick scene showed Mule fighting both Liquiir and Heles simultaneously, suggesting he’s at least as strong as Sidra.
Heles’ Entire Theme Got Old Quite Quickly
Destroyer of Universe 2
Heles’s abilities, and those of Universe 2 overall, were frustrating to watch. Despite limited screen time, she demonstrated considerable power, notably piercing Liquiir’s arm with a powerful arrow. Otherwise, she mainly remained an observer during the battles.
Iwan Was Weak Despite Having A Strong Universe
Destroyer of Universe 1
This is where the anime and manga versions of the story start to differ significantly. In the manga, Iwan is a dedicated and effective Destroyer, resulting in a universe with exceptionally strong mortals and an exemption from the Tournament of Power. However, the anime portrays him as being consistently defeated in a Destroyer exhibition match, leading many fans to believe he’s one of the weaker Destroyers.
The anime’s portrayal of the sparring match presented Iwan as a powerful opponent, on par with Liquiir and Arak.
Champa Is A Fun But Weak Character
Destroyer of Universe 6
Champa is a powerful God of Destruction, overseeing Universe 6, and is the twin brother of Beerus. Unlike his brother, Champa is incredibly lazy and hasn’t trained in decades, resulting in him being overweight and less powerful. During a friendly match between the two, Beerus easily overpowered him. While Champa didn’t showcase much strength himself, the sheer power of both brothers was felt throughout the universe when they first met, which was an impressive display.
Giin Barely Had Any Showings In The Anime Or Manga
Destroyer of Universe 12
Giin is the God of Destruction of Universe 12, and his universe was one of just four that didn’t have to compete in the Tournament of Power because it had a very high average strength among its inhabitants. It’s difficult to judge Giin’s fighting ability, though, as he mostly just got hit by attacks and fired off energy blasts during the exhibition match.

Arak Showed His Strength In The Exhibition Match
Destroyer of Universe 5

Arak, similar to Giin and Iwan, is powerful enough to be excluded from the tournament. However, unlike Giin and Iwan, Arak demonstrated significant strength in practice matches shown in the anime and manga, competing effectively against all opponents. While the anime portrayed the three Destroyers as roughly equal in power, Arak remained a formidable force even in the manga version.
Rumsshi’s Ability Was Enough To Paralyze Other Destroyers
Destroyer of Universe 10
We’re now looking at the most powerful Gods of Destruction, and Rumsshi is definitely among the strongest. He proved this in an exhibition match, skillfully using his incredible strength and unique ability. Rumsshi’s power lies in his unbelievably loud roar, which can temporarily paralyze even other Gods of Destruction, allowing him to inflict serious damage. He demonstrated this by charging into opponents like Quitela and other Destroyers, leaving them significantly hurt.
Liquiir Is The Strongest Of The Exempt Destroyers
Destroyer of Universe 8
Liquiir stands out as the only Destroyer who truly impressed in both the anime and manga versions of the exhibition match. He demonstrated exceptional control over his Ki, unleashing powerful blasts that all the other Destroyers avoided. Thanks to his speed, strength, and Ki mastery, Liquiir is considered one of the most powerful Gods of Destruction.
Belmod Is Incredibly Dangerous And Opportunistic
Destroyer of Universe 11
Belmod is known throughout the anime for defeating Beerus in an arm wrestling match years ago, leading many to believe he’s physically stronger. The manga showcases his immense power as he successfully trapped all the other Destroyers in an attack that they claimed would be fatal if it connected. Combined with his cleverness and merciless personality, this makes Belmod a truly terrifying opponent.
