Every LEGO Star Wars Set Confirmed for This Year (So Far)

Since LEGO first released its Star Wars sets in 1999, the line has improved dramatically. Early sets were simple, blocky versions of ships and scenes from the Star Wars prequels. Now, LEGO Star Wars sets are incredibly detailed recreations, often built with thousands of pieces – and they can be quite expensive, sometimes costing hundreds of dollars.

LEGO Star Wars is continuing to evolve, and 2024 has already brought eight new sets! This is just a taste of what LEGO has planned for this popular line. This year, you can find sets inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu, as well as a range of new sets featuring a unique and innovative play experience. LEGO is really maximizing the potential of the Star Wars license this year.

Siege of Mandalore Battle Pack $22.99 116 LEGO.com
BB-8 Astromech Droid $89.99 569 LEGO.com

Eight new LEGO Star Wars sets have been released this year. While fans generally like how the sets look, the steadily increasing prices are becoming a concern. It’s good to see a lower-priced LEGO Star Wars set available again, but some fans feel that prices like $22.99 for the 116-piece Siege of Mandalore Battle Pack and $34.99 for the 207-piece Cobb Vanth’s Speeder are a bit high. On the bright side, the midi-scale vehicles continue to be a standout feature of the LEGO Star Wars line, with the Venator and AT-AT offering impressive detail.

LEGO is launching its new SMART Play line on March 1st. This innovative feature centers around a special “SMART Brick” that lights up and makes sounds when placed near certain LEGO pieces and characters – called SMART Tags and SMART Minifigures. The first sets to use this technology are all from the Star Wars collection, and while they’re designed to work with the SMART Brick, some sets don’t actually include one.

There’s some concern about the new LEGO Star Wars SMART Play sets as they approach their release. While they look less detailed than typical LEGO Star Wars sets, they’re surprisingly more expensive. For example, the SMART Play Luke’s Landspeeder has only 215 pieces and costs $39.99, compared to the 2020 Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder which had 236 pieces and cost $29.99. Adding to the issue, the new SMART Play set doesn’t even include the interactive “SMART Brick” that’s expected with these sets.

Out of the new LEGO Star Wars sets releasing in March, only three – Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter, the Red Five X-Wing, and the Throne Room Duel & A-Wing – include the special “SMART Brick” needed to unlock the interactive features. This means if you buy a less expensive set, like Luke’s Landspeeder, you’ll also need to purchase one of these three sets (at a minimum of $69.99) to be able to use all the play features.

The Mandalorian and Grogu: Allies and Villains BrickHeadz $39.99 661 LEGO.com

Okay, so LEGO Star Wars is going back to releasing sets regularly after trying something different in March. I’m super excited because on April 26th, a bunch of new sets are dropping, and they’re all based on the upcoming Mandalorian and Grogu movie! Of course, Din Djarin and Grogu are in most of them, but there’s a cool version of Grogu – they’re calling him a ‘Mandalorian Apprentice’ – that comes with a special mudhorn symbol on his chest. You’ll find him in the Anzellan Starship, a Razor Crest set, and even a buildable Grogu model. Seriously, I need them all!

Some LEGO fans are upset about the newly announced Razor Crest set, comparing it to the 2020 version. The original set had 999 pieces and cost $140, while the new one will have 930 pieces and cost $150. However, the new set does include a Zeb Orrelios minifigure with uniquely colored arms and legs, which is a definite plus.

Every Rumored LEGO Star Wars 2026 Set

Here’s a list of all the officially announced LEGO Star Wars sets as of February 22, 2026. Beyond what’s confirmed, there are some rumors circulating. A reliable source, Maniac67, recently suggested a new Imperial Shuttle set is coming, with 961 pieces and six minifigures, based on the season finale of The Mandalorian. Details have also leaked about this year’s LEGO Star Wars advent calendar, hinting at holiday versions of Moff Gideon and Mando, plus a new figure of Grogu.

Recently, Carter_bricks04 revealed details about a new LEGO Star Wars Sandcrawler set. Based on its look from the first season of The Mandalorian, the set is expected to include six minifigures, be made of approximately 1,700 pieces, and cost $199.99. The reported release date for this new LEGO set is August 2026.
