Every Member of Kara in Boruto, Ranked From Weakest to Strongest

The Naruto series famously included the Akatsuki as its main villain group, while Boruto introduced a new organization called Kara. Unlike the Akatsuki, who primarily used classic ninja techniques, Kara’s members have been heavily modified with advanced technology that significantly boosts their powers.

The Kara organization and its members created a lot of problems for Boruto and his friends before they were defeated. Each member had unique and powerful abilities that even the most skilled ninja in the Boruto series struggled to overcome. Here’s a ranking of Kara’s members, from least to most powerful, including figures like Jigen and Ao.

This list will only include Kara members who appeared in the Boruto manga.

Garo

  • Similar to Ao, Garo is an outer member of Kara, meaning he has less authority than those at the organization’s core. He essentially worked for Delta, and his job was to find and capture Kawaki, which was all part of the larger plan to get Isshiki Otsutsuki’s host body.

Garo isn’t a particularly strong fighter. While Amado’s modifications gave him increased strength, speed, and stamina, those advantages weren’t enough against someone like Kawaki, who possesses the Karma power. Kawaki easily defeated Garo, knocking him out and even splitting his body in half.

Ao

Ao is a well-known figure among ninjas, infamous for being called the ‘Byakugan Killer.’ He previously served as a key advisor to the Fifth Mizukage, but was critically injured during the Fourth Great Ninja War. Instead of letting him die, scientists kept him alive and turned his body into a living weapon. He later became an early outer member of the Kara organization and clashed with the new Team 7, working alongside Katasuke.

Although Ao isn’t as powerful as he used to be, he’s still able to easily overpower Boruto and his friends using his advanced ninja technology. He utilizes things like mirror drones to launch powerful attacks and even fights with a double-bladed saber, proving that this veteran from the Hidden Mist Village remains a formidable opponent.

Victor

Victor initially appears to be a frail, unremarkable member of the Inner Kara. But thanks to modifications by Amado, he gained powerful regenerative abilities and extra limbs. These limbs allow him to perform hand seals during fights in the Boruto anime.

While the anime portrays Victor as incredibly powerful, his portrayal in the manga is much weaker. He was quickly defeated and killed by Kashin Koji with apparent ease.

Boro

Boro is one of Kara’s Inner Members, and he’s a cunning individual with a dangerous counter-ability. Kawaki claims Boro is even more ruthless than Jigen, not in terms of raw power, but because of his extreme cruelty and complete disregard for human life.

During his fight with Kawaki and the new Team 7, Boro demonstrated a dangerous power: a dark mist containing highly contagious viruses. This mist caused paralysis in Boruto and his teammates, gradually weakening and immobilizing them. He also fought using both lava and water-based techniques.

Boro had an incredible ability to heal, which almost exhausted the chakra of the ninja team fighting him. Despite Sarada destroying his core with Chidori, he continued to attack Boruto and his friends with his strong powers. Boro wasn’t defeated until Boruto was taken over by Momoshiki.

Delta

Delta is a highly dangerous member of Kara because she’s quick to anger, acts without thinking, and makes rash decisions. Impatient with Kawaki, she didn’t wait for Kashin Koji to find Jigen’s new host; instead, she immediately attacked Konoha, targeting Naruto Uzumaki.

Delta is a formidable opponent, even against Naruto when he’s using his chakra powers. She can effectively counter his attacks, like stopping his lava-style rasen shuriken and absorbing his rasengan with her unique eyes. Those same eyes also allow her to fire powerful beams that can instantly destroy anything they hit.

She’s cunning enough to pull Naruto’s children into fights when it benefits her, but her main vulnerability is Amado – he can shut her down with just a command.

Kashin Koji

Kashin Koji, created as a clone of Jiraiya, can copy his fighting style, including the use of toads and even entering Sage Mode during battles. Like Jiraiya, he’s a clever strategist who always plans ahead before fighting.

Early in the series, Kashin Koji demonstrated his power by successfully using a sealing technique to stop the new Team 7. He also proved to be a skilled combatant, matching Konohamaru’s Rasengan with one of his own.

Kashin Koji played a key role in separating Isshiki Otsutsuki from Jigen’s body, although Naruto and Sasuke did most of the work to weaken Isshiki. Even so, Koji was powerful enough to defeat Jigen and hold his own against Isshiki for an extended period.

Additionally, Kashin Koji gained the ability to see the future after Amado altered his body using Shibai’s cells. This foresight, as many fans are aware, proved helpful during Boruto’s battle with the Shinju Clones.

Jigen

Jigen started as a normal monk without any special abilities. However, after Isshiki Otsutsuki took over his body, everything changed. While not a perfect host, Jigen’s body managed to hold Isshiki’s immense power for a significant period.

Jigen easily defeated both Naruto and Sasuke using only his Sukunahikona ability, thanks to Isshiki’s control. Sukunahikona lets him quickly shrink and expand his chakra rod, allowing him to repeatedly trap and hold them down.

Jigen was incredibly powerful, capable of breaking through Sasuke’s Susanoo and even stopping Amaterasu. He also demonstrated the ability to use space-time ninjutsu, like when he tried to trap Naruto in a different dimension.

Code

The Boruto series introduced Code as a being even more powerful than Jigen, but only if his natural limitations were removed. This made him a threat surpassing Naruto and Sasuke, who struggled to harm Jigen when they first fought him. After Jigen died, Code also gained the drive to grow a God Tree and consume its fruit, hoping to become a full-fledged Otsutsuki.

Once Amado lifted the restrictions on Code’s power, he became far stronger than anyone had ever seen. He also developed a new ability called Claw Marks, letting him launch unexpected and lethal attacks. He attempted to destroy Konoha using the Ten Tails, but his plan was ruined when the clones he created gained free will.

Isshiki Otsutsuki

Despite being incredibly strong, Isshiki Otsutsuki was betrayed not once, but twice in the Boruto series. First, Kaguya Otsutsuki turned against him, and later, Kashin Koji and Amazo Sanzu also betrayed him, which eventually led to his defeat.

Even so, Isshiki Otsutsuki is still considered one of the most powerful characters in Boruto. He pushed Naruto Uzumaki to use the dangerous Baryon Mode, which ultimately cost Kurama his life, and completely defeated Sasuke. His unique abilities, Sukunahikona and Daikokuten, were more than enough to defeat both of these legendary shinobi.

If Isshiki had found a suitable body sooner, Naruto and Sasuke would have struggled to protect the world.
