Every New Item In League Of Legends In 2026

The new 2026 season of League of Legends has arrived, bringing with it some big updates to shake up gameplay. Atakhan has been removed, and role quests are now available for everyone. Plus, players can experiment with several new items designed to improve certain character builds and make less common strategies more viable.

Generally, the 11 new and updated items are well-designed, each offering specific benefits for certain champions or situations rather than being broadly powerful. However, some are noticeably stronger than others, offering significant stat increases and powerful effects that could make certain characters exceptionally strong.

Fiendhunter Bolts

Mildly Useful At Best

Stats:

  • Attack Speed: 40%
  • Critical Strike Chance: 25%
  • Movement Speed: 4%
  • Night Vigil: Gain 30 Ultimate Haste.
  • Opening Barrage (45s cooldown): After casting your Ultimate, your next 3 basic attacks within 8s gain 50% attack speed and critically strike for 75% of your normal critical strike damage. If an attack would already critically strike, it deals normal critical strike damage and also deals 10% bonus true damage.

Crit-based Attack Damage Carries (ADCs) have traditionally had limited item options in League of Legends, almost always needing to build Infinity Edge and armor penetration to be effective. This makes less common items, like Fiendhunter Bolts, feel weak because their stats don’t offer enough benefit, and their special effect isn’t particularly impactful.

Okay, so Ultimate Haste… it’s a stat that honestly doesn’t really work for most of us. Especially if you’re like me and main an ADC who relies on crit – forget about it. I’ve seen a few champions, like Yunara, who can actually benefit, and Tryndamere looks kinda cool with it, but overall, it’s just…meh. If I do end up building towards it, it’s usually just to fill out that last item slot when I’ve already got everything else I need.

Actualizer

A Short-Term Powerhouse

Stats:

  • Ability Power: 90
  • Mana: 300
  • Ability Haste: 10
  • [ACTIVE] Mana Made Real (60s cooldown): For 8 seconds, your mana is Empowered. While Empowered, your spells cost 100% more mana, you gain (15 + .005% bonus mana)% increased ability damage, healing, and shielding, and your basic ability cooldowns progress 30% faster.

The Actualizer is a familiar item with a unique twist. Longtime players might recall Spellbinder, which provided a temporary boost to stats for quick attacks. However, the Actualizer’s focus on mana feels a little unusual and doesn’t quite fit.

Champions who thrive on mana, such as Ryze and Anivia, already have established, powerful items they rarely change – like Seraph’s Embrace for staying alive and Rod of Ages for a boost to all their key stats. While this new item might have some moments, it’s difficult to imagine it becoming a dominant choice for most players.

Whispering Circlet/Diadem Of Songs

Sona’s Best Friend

Stats:

  • Health: 200
  • Mana: 300-1000
  • Base Mana Regeneration: 75-100%
  • Heal and Shield Power: 8%
  • Harmony: Gain (.005% bonus mana)% Heal and Shield Power.
  • Consonance: While you or any ally you’ve healed or shielded in the last 3 seconds is in combat with champions, each second, heal the lowest health nearby ally champion for (.008% bonus mana).

Enchanter players have long requested an item that provides healing over time, and now it’s here. The Circlet/Diadem works like an aura, consistently healing the nearest ally with the lowest health.

Sona excels as a support character because she constantly uses mana and already focuses on buffing her teammates. While other enchanter characters could also work, Sona’s strengths really shine within her class, rather than fundamentally changing how support is played.

Hextech Gundblade

The Fan Favorite Returns

Stats:

  • Ability Power: 80
  • Attack Damage: 40
  • Omnivamp: 10%
  • [ACTIVE] Lightning Bolt (60s cooldown): Shock the target enemy champion, dealing (175-253 [level scaling] + 30% Ability Power) magic damage and slowing them by 25% for 1.5 seconds.

I’m so excited to see Gunblade back! It feels like it never left, even though it’s been updated a little. I remember back when Akali, Katarina, and Kayle were all over the place with it – those AP champions that could also use the extra attack damage really loved how it helped them stay alive in fights.

Honestly, this new item doesn’t feel like a must-buy for my favorite champions right away. I’ve been trying it on Akali, but if she gets caught without any health, it’s way too easy to take her down before she can even use it. The item’s build path is really good, though, so I think it could work well on a lot of different characters. I’m curious to see if it just becomes another option, or if it ends up making some champions unbelievably strong!

Endless Hunger

Healing Through The Pain

Stats:

  • Attack Damage: 60
  • Tenacity: 20%
  • Omnivamp: 5%
  • Famine: Gain (5 + 10% bonus AD) Ability Haste
  • Feast: When a champion that you damaged within 3 seconds dies, gain 15% Omnivamp for 8 seconds.

As a player, I think Endless Hunger is seriously awesome! It’s a really straightforward item – basically just pure attack damage with some life steal. Plus, it gives you tenacity and even more ability haste as you get stronger. But the coolest part? It lets certain raid bosses do some unbelievably powerful things, which is a really fun addition to the game!

Aatraox is the strongest pick for this item, with Zaahen being a close second. Many durable champions could benefit from including it in their builds. While some players might be able to build it early, it’s more likely to be a third or fourth item purchase, providing a significant boost to survivability later in the game.

Protoplasm Harness

Health, Health, And More Health

Stats:

  • Health: 600
  • Ability Haste: 15
  • Lifeline: Taking damage that would reduce your health below 30% causes you to gain 200 maximum health for 5 seconds, then heal (200-400 [level scaling] + 250% armor + 250% magic resistance) health over the duration. While regenerating health, you gain 15% increased size, 10% Movement Speed, and 25% tenacity.

The Protoplasm Harness is either quite good or seriously overpowered, with very few options in between. When completed, it provides players with roughly 1000 extra health, plus the speed boost and stat improvements from the Lifeline effect.

This item benefits players in two main ways. For champions focused on building health, like Mundo, it provides a helpful HP increase. For support champions like Leona, it significantly boosts health regeneration – potentially increasing it from 300 to 1000 HP without needing to buy extra items. Overall, it’s a valuable addition to any tank-focused team composition, working well for both dedicated supports and tanks in other roles, especially considering its low cost.

Bastionbreaker

Towers Are No More

Stats:

  • Attack Damage: 55
  • Lethality: 22
  • Ability Haste: 15
  • Shaped Charge: Dealing Ability damage to a champion or epic monster deals an additional (30 + 150% lethality) true damage.
  • Sabotage: Taking down a champion within 3 seconds of damaging them grants Sabotage for 90 seconds. While you have Sabotage, your next attack against an epic monster or turret deals an additional (300 + 2500% lethality) true damage over 3 seconds.

Bastionbreaker seems a bit over-the-top at first glance, with most attention drawn to its ability to sabotage. However, the item itself allows players to deal almost 1000 damage to turrets or objectives simply by getting a kill, making it incredibly easy to destroy towers and take down dragons at any stage of the game.

Okay, so even ignoring any special effects, this item is seriously strong. It gives you more lethality than anything else in the game, which is exactly what assassins need to burst down enemies. I can already see Zed players loving it, but honestly, a jungler like Kha’Zix could grab this, get a quick kill, and then immediately take dragon or Rift Herald as soon as it’s up. It’s that good for snowballing!

Bandlepipes

Rallying The Troops

Stats:

  • Health: 200
  • Armor: 20
  • Magic Resistance: 20
  • Ability Haste: 15
  • Fanfare: Slowing or Immobilizing an enemy champion grants Fanfare for 8 (melee) / 4 (ranged) seconds. Fanfare grants 20 Movement Speed. While you have Fanfare, nearby allies, including yourself, gain 30% (melee) / 20% (ranged) attack speed.

Over the years, support players have had access to many useful items, and Bandlepipes is another solid addition. It doesn’t have a game-changing effect or excel in one particular area, but it’s a reliably good stat-boosting item with a helpful buff that most teams can benefit from.

Traditionally, tank supports have chosen Locket or Redemption, but Bandlepipes offers a new choice that’s potentially just as effective, without significantly reducing their ability to stay alive or provide team support.

Hexoptics C44

Keeping At A Safe Distance

Stats:

  • Attack Damage: 50
  • Critical Strike Chance: 25%
  • Magnification: Deal up to 10% increased damage with attacks, based on how far away the enemy is (max damage at 750 range).
  • Arcane Aim: When a champion that you damaged within 3 seconds dies, gain 100 additional attack range for 6 seconds.

The Hexoptics C44 is a really interesting item that helps champions become powerful late-game carries. It doesn’t look great at first – it provides a relatively small amount of attack damage for its cost. However, its unique passive ability, Magnification, significantly increases the damage of ranged attacks, making up for the initial weak stats.

As an ADC player, I’m really excited about the new seventh item slot! It’s opened up some awesome options for maximizing damage at the end of a game. Champions like Jinx, Caitlyn, and even Yuumi are really shining now, because their long attack ranges let them take full advantage of that extra item’s power. It’s like the final piece of the puzzle to become a real damage threat!

Stormrazor

Welcome Back, Speedy ADCs

Stats:

  • Attack Damage: 50
  • Attack Speed: 20%
  • Critical Strike Chance: 25%
  • Energized: Moving and Attacking generates an Energized Attack.
  • Bolt: Your Energized Attack applies 100 bonus magic damage and grants 45% Movement Speed for 1.5s.

Stormrazor keeps reappearing in League of Legends, even after being taken out of the game. And once again, it looks like a strong item choice for most AD Carry champions.

Some champions, such as Jhin, already excel at a fast-paced playstyle, using quick attacks and strong initial damage to win fights. Since the item is returning almost exactly as it was before, champions who used to build it will likely enjoy having it available again.
