Although new games will continue to be released in December, November 2025 is expected to be the busiest month for releases. Weβve already seen a huge number of new open-world games this year β enough to play for a long time! While November doesnβt have quite as many huge, well-known titles as October, it will still see a similar number of games released, even if many are aimed at more specific audiences.
It’s tough to say which of the many open-world games coming out in November 2025 will be the best, and you could easily overlook a game you’d love with so many releases happening. So, let’s take a look at all the confirmed titles for the month that have the potential to be really special.
Criteria & Notes:
- The games are in release order.
- Only games with confirmed release dates will be included.
- Ports and expansions are listed separately.
- Games that are unlikely to have 100% traditional open-worlds are listed separately.
- No mobile games.
Tales of Old: Dominus
Open-World Medieval Game With Base Building
Tales of Old: Dominus is an exciting indie game aiming to blend medieval fantasy with fast-paced combat, stealth, RPG-style character development, and base building. The game centers around a compelling revenge story: you play as someone whose home was destroyed by corrupt nobles, and you must lead a rebellion to get justice and rebuild communities. While the game’s concept sounds promising, it’s yet to be seen if all these features work well together. A preliminary demo was available briefly in May 2025, and though unpolished, it hinted at the game’s potential.
Honeycomb: The World Beyond
Survive In A Gorgeous Sandbox
Honeycomb: The World Beyond is a visually striking game set on a breathtaking alien planet filled with unusual plants and creatures. It stands out from other games with its bright, colorful style and first-person viewpoint. You play as a bioengineer who’s been stranded on the planet Sota7, and your mission is to not only stay alive, but also to flourish by exploring, researching, and building. The game will feature base-building, allowing you to expand your operations as you uncover the secrets of this beautiful, yet dangerous, world.
Of Ash and Steel
An Action RPG In A Dark Fantasy Open-World
Coming in November 2025, the open-world game Of Ash and Steel is shaping up to be a major release. Inspired by classic RPGs like Gothic, it’s designed to be challenging and doesn’t hold your hand. Players will explore a decaying medieval kingdom without the aid of waypoints or markers, learning a complex combat system with various stances and skills. Building relationships is important, but you’ll need to be careful to avoid unnecessary deaths. The game also heavily features survival elements, like managing hunger, which might not appeal to all players.

BattleGroupVR2
A Universe In The Palm Of Your Hands
Get ready for something truly unique in the world of November 2025 open-world games! BattleGroupVR2 is a virtual reality strategy game coming to both Steam and Meta. Players familiar with the original will have a good idea of what to expect, but the sequel promises to be even more immersive. Unlike typical real-time strategy games where you oversee battles from a distance, BattleGroupVR2 puts you right in the action, forcing you to make quick decisions as battles unfold. While most RTS games feature expansive maps, BattleGroupVR2 takes things further with a procedurally generated galaxy, creating a truly open-world experience.

Sword of Justice
A Free Open-World MMO Makes The Jump From Mobile
Originally released for Android and iOS in 2023, Sword of Justice is coming to Steam on November 7, 2025. This free-to-play game is designed to be enjoyable for everyone, with stunning graphics and a world inspired by Eastern culture. It avoids frustrating grinding and pay-to-win mechanics, and offers something for both casual and competitive players. Plus, solo players can even conquer challenging dungeons thanks to a helpful NPC companion system. It sounds like a great game!
Skopje ’83
A Zombie Shooter With Roguelite World
With its unique comic book art style, Skopje ’83 is a visually striking game that could be a standout title in November 2025. It’s a survival game where you navigate a city overrun by zombies, focusing on upgrading a bus, scavenging for supplies, and keeping your character fed. But it’s more than just survival β there’s a story and a sense of mystery to uncover. A key feature is that the game world changes each time you die, preventing repetitive gameplay and keeping the experience fresh.
Check out Skopje ’83‘s demo if you are not sure if the game is for you.
Winter Burrow
The Most Adorable Open-World Game Protagonist Ever
November 2025 is packed with open-world survival games, but Winter Burrow stands out. Like Don’t Starve, it’s an isometric game where you’re dropped into a snowy wilderness and have to gather resources, build structures, and stay alive. What makes it different is that you play as a super cute, customizable mouse trying to renovate their home and find their lost aunt. While it’s a survival game, Winter Burrow focuses on being relaxing and cozy, so it won’t be overly challenging.
Check out Winter Burrow‘s demo if you are not sure if the game is for you.
Dynasthir
Soulslike Open-World Game
Dynasthir is an ambitious game aiming to combine the challenging combat of Soulslike games with the freedom of an open world β something few games have successfully done. It won’t hold your hand, leaving you to survive in a harsh world thatβs unforgiving to the living. The combat is fast-paced and offers a lot of variety, and you’ll also find plenty of options to customize your character β both common features in the Soulslike genre.
Check out Dynasthir‘s demo if you are not sure if the game is for you.
Where Winds Meet
November 2025’s Biggest Open-World Game
Everyone is talking about Where Winds Meet as the biggest open-world game coming out in November, and it’s easy to see why. It will be free to play, making it accessible to a wider audience. Plus, the game’s graphics are stunning β rivaling those of major, high-budget titles β and it’s set in a beautifully realized Ancient China. The combat system, which blends close-up fighting, ranged attacks, and magic, looks incredibly smooth and dynamic. Honestly, Where Winds Meet seems almost too good to be true, but hopefully it delivers on its promise.
Sacred 2 Remaster
Bringing Back An Action RPG Classic
The last game in the Sacred series was released in 2014, but Sacred 3 wasn’t very popular. Most fans now remember Sacred 2, a fantastic action RPG similar to Diablo. It featured a large world that players could explore with a good degree of freedom for its time. Sacred 2 Remaster aims to bring the game to a new generation of players while also giving longtime fans the definitive experience they’ve been waiting for.
