Many video games can induce a ‘flow’ state while battling impressive final opponents, yet not many achieve this as effectively as the game ‘Sifu‘.
This fighting game centered around martial arts, vengeance, and exceptional close-quarters combat boasts one of the finest gameplay systems from recent years due to its awe-inspiring battle sequences that rival museum pieces.
In contrast, the Masters at every level present the toughest challenges, as they engage you in intense battles that demand mastery of the game’s mechanics to enjoy the rewarding feeling of victory over them.
The range and complexity of these battles, whether it’s an elderly entrepreneur engaging in long-distance combat or a master of deception employing illusions, is truly astounding. This ranked compilation showcases every Sifu boss, as you can clearly observe.
From an elder businesswoman waging battles from afar to a trickster using illusions, the diversity and intricacy of these fights is remarkable. This ranked list gives you a glimpse into each and every Sifu boss that you see.

Jinfeng – The CEO
An Adaptation Fight
Location | The Tower |
Difficulty | High |
Jinfeng often proves challenging for Sifu, with victories coming on the first try or battles that barely make it past the initial phase.
OR
Jinfeng, being Sifu’s boss, is unpredictable in terms of difficulty, as you either manage to conquer her on your very first attempt or find yourself grappling to advance beyond the initial stage.
Although she’s an appealing change among the other bosses, her reliance on a bell for long-range combat diminishes the dance-like performance or visual spectacle that the game is known for.
Her actions are largely repetitive, consisting mostly of dodge sequences, followed by an approach for an attack, then backing off when she retreats, only to repeat the pattern again.
In a more conversational style, the sentence could be rephrased as: “Jinfeng, among all the bosses, loses her charm quicker. Her stage is amazing and initial challenges are impressive, but ultimately, the fight with her isn’t as rewarding compared to the others.
4.
Fajar – The Botanist
A Great Introduction

Location | The Squats |
Difficulty | Medium |
The initial adversary faced by the Sifu provides a splendid initiation into the game’s challenging combat system, offering a difficulty level finely calibrated for the moment, ensuring that defeat is enjoyable.
Even though Fajar is the simplest duel in the game, he guides you through the fundamental aspects of gameplay by demonstrating how to assess the surroundings and employ them strategically to come out on top.
Additionally, his initial and subsequent stages are innovative and engaging, immersing you in an atmospheric cinematic journey that complements the experience flawlessly.
Experience the shift from a conventional martial arts battle to seemingly life-threatening combat in a dense bamboo forest is an unforgettable initial impression of Sifu’s adversaries.
3.
Sean – The Fighter
Flames and Fists

Location | The Club |
Difficulty | High |
In the confrontation with Sean, it was the instance when my Sifu’s fighting style finally made sense to me, since there seemed to be no alternative approach to overcome that particular situation.
As a devoted admirer, conquering that formidable combatant served as my personal epiphany – I recognized that mastering the intricate mechanics was essential if I aimed to reach the game’s finale. Triumphing against him the very first time was no walk in the park; it demanded every ounce of my gaming prowess. However, the struggle transformed me into a more formidable digital warrior.
His attack sequence is predictable yet quick, requiring you to evade with split-second accuracy as you methodically and gradually drain his stamina and life points.
When flames break out and consume the area entirely, the battle shifts significantly yet subtly towards extracting you from your focused state.
In adjusting to these slightly varied circumstances, you come to realize just how crucial it is to remain composed, demonstrating the essence of a genuine martial artist.
2.
Kuroki – The Artist
A Fantasy Combat

Location | The Museum |
Difficulty | High |
As a gamer, I’ve found myself utterly captivated by the intricacies of Sifu. The battle against Kuroki, in particular, sets this indie game apart.
I really enjoy arguments centered around environmental issues, and no location strikes me as more breathtakingly inspiring than the one depicted in The Artist.
In this snowy landscape, the struggle requires intense focus and caution due to the boss’s agile, quick maneuvers, her capacity to zoom in and out on command, and the snow’s restricted movement.
The snow’s immobility, coupled with the nimbleness and speed of the boss, as well as her unique ability to adjust focus, makes this battle a challenging test of attention and carefulness.
But what truly stands out is the second part, where Kuroki guides you through a breathtaking canvas of paint, revealing her championship bout in an enchanting duel.
Her combat techniques remain largely consistent with her latest arsenal, but the varying environments significantly amplify the intensity of the experience. This battle is undeniably memorable, yet its complexity lies in her frequent shuriken tosses and rapid, lightning-quick attacks.
Though she doesn’t alter her fighting methods much with the introduction of new tools, the diverse settings add a layer of heightened sensation to the encounter. This fight is notably distinctive, yet it presents a challenge due to her recurring shuriken throws and swift, lightning-speed assaults.
1.
Yang – The Leader
Pure Martial Perfection

Location | The Sanctuary |
Difficulty | Very High |
Combining Jinfeng’s fashionable flair, Jafar’s technical requirements, Sean’s endurance, and Kuroki’s charm results in a fight characteristic of Yang.
As a gamer, I’ve encountered some truly tough adversaries over the past decade, but none quite like The Leader who embodies the essence of martial arts at its most authentic and brutal. These battles were not for the faint-hearted!
In the battle against our main character’s father’s killer, there’s a palpable atmosphere of revenge and deep-rooted animosity that distinguishes this encounter from others, lending it a unique intensity.
His unique combat method, characterized by swift and almost unforeseeable claw strikes, is both captivating to observe yet terrifying to engage in battle, since he only allows imperfection to be bested.
In a manner that mirrors our own strategies, Yang delivers Sifu’s most authentic and respectful combat, perfectly encapsulating the essence of the game and thus earning the title as the top and most challenging boss throughout the entire game.
