Epilogue: Happily Ever After
The latest update, named “Pristine Cut,” enriches the gameplay experience of “Slay the Princess” by introducing additional storylines and novel conclusions. This enhancement delves deeper into previously established plots.
There’s no question that “Slay the Princess” stands out as a storytelling triumph. It features numerous intricate and complex routes, and with each time loop, its dark narrative takes on even greater horror.
In the role-playing genre, “Slay the Princess” exploits the fear of the enigmatic, with the Princess subject to shocking and disquieting metamorphoses at the beginning of every chapter.
At the very beginning of the game, it is your mission from the budding cosmic deity known as the Shifting Mound to gather Vessels – these are various incarnations of a princess whose combined forms will fully manifest the entity’s power.
During each game session, you are allowed to gather up to five unique Artifacts or Vessels. The in-game archive, called “Memories,” offers helpful tips on where to locate these Artifacts and the significant instances connected with them.
It seems like you’re here to explore all the options or chase achievements. Remember, prior to making any choice, it would be wise to save your progress in a pristine state, so you can effortlessly revert and take a different route when needed.
Warning: This article contains MAJOR SPOILERS to every possible path in Slay the Princess.
A Being Of Perception
Prior to diving into every ship, let me share a general tip to assist you during your gaming adventures.
Throughout the game, it subtly becomes clear that the Princess is a shape-shifting entity. Her appearance and demeanor transform according to the player character’s perspective, reflecting their beliefs about her capabilities.
Approaching the basement with a weapon gives the impression of potential danger, causing her to react coolly, pull away, and harbor suspicion. However, if you enter without a weapon, she becomes more approachable and seems less threatening.
Each time the loop repeats, the princess undergoes a significant change in appearance that reflects how you perceive her. The scarier you find her, the more grotesque and fear-inducing she becomes.
Every route leading to the ship offers a distinct, contemplative tale, and regardless of whether you decide to confront the Princess, you’ll find yourself drawn into an intriguing narrative.
The Adversary
The Opponent embodies an incredible degree of tenacity. She appears almost invincible, exhibiting greater strength, speed, and durability compared to many other versions.
To activate the adversarial pathway in Chapter 2, you must provoke the princess into wanting to engage in a battle with you. Maintain the belief that she is potentially harmful as you converse with her. Here are your options for how to proceed:
1. Challenge her directly and show that you’re not afraid of her.
2. Act disrespectful towards her, pushing her buttons to get a reaction.
3. Appeal to her sense of duty and ask her to prove herself in combat.
4. Play mind games with her by pretending to be someone she fears or respects.
- Take the Blade.
- Make sure you Tighten your grip.
- Choose the dialogue option “I’m not dropping the blade.” Make sure you stand your ground.
- Slay the Princess and finish the job.
On this course, you could offer her the battle she yearns for, choose to retreat (which might seem like cowardice), or adopt a peaceful approach. Regardless of your choice, you’re facing an opponent who shows no mercy and is ready to deliver a brutal beating.
This path can either end here or further branch out to Chapter 3 through the following:
- Putting up a poor fight or fleeing will trigger the Eye of the Needle path.
- This is one of the many paths that may lead to The Fury, as long as you anger her by either not fighting her, or dying horrifically to her violent onslaught.
The Tower
In another version, you come across the Tower when you no longer have the desire to rescue the princess. This event grants her a hint of divinity and a slight air of arrogance in her subsequent reincarnation.
- Take the Blade.
- Confront the Princess. Regardless of your actions, make sure you Drop the Blade.
- Once you’ve exhausted the dialogue options, Slay the Princess.
- When she fights back, Give up. She’ll kill you, and trigger the Tower path.
Through assuming the role of the Tower, the Princess takes on an authoritative stance, regarding you as a subordinate with the sole function of serving her.
She might be one of the strongest manifestations of the Princess character, having the ability to compel you to act according to her will, effectively ousting the Narrator from your consciousness.
The Shifting Mound can claim her here, or she can become much more:
- Surrendering to the Tower will lead to the Apotheosis route.
- Defying the Tower will lead to the Fury route.
The Spectre
This variant takes the form of a ghost because you’re convinced she’s dead after you’ve slain her.
- Enter the Cabin. Take the Blade and then Enter the Basement.
- Confront the Princess. Select [Steel your nerves and step forward], then [Slay the Princess] without making ANY small talk.
- Don’t retrieve the blade OR examine the princess. Simply leave the basement.
As a devoted player, I find that the way forward for The Spectre becomes clear when I strictly follow the game’s instructions – kill the Princess. However, instead of punishment, the Narrator bestows upon me an eternal void, which I embrace by plunging the blade into myself. Everything fades to black, and in that moment, I cease to exist.
In Chapter 2, upon reentering the cabin, you’ll discover the Princess already deceased, the knife untarnished beside her. Near her body hovers the spectral figure of the Princess, giving you two options to proceed: either allow her spirit to take hold of you or provoke her, which could lead down distinctly chilling paths.
You can transfer the Spectre to the Shifting Mound by simply leaving the cabin together with her. Additionally, you can aid the Princess’s metamorphosis in Chapter III through these actions.
- Slay yourself while possessed by the Spectre. This triggers The Princess and the Dragon route.
- Be killed by the Spectre. This triggers The Wraith route.
The Nightmare
Leaving your job as the Princess-slayer incomplete could transform her into a relentless, terrifying specter, mere proximity to whom might trigger an instant, petrifying fear.
In the basement, there are four chances to speak with the Princess, with slight variations in dialogue for each encounter. Be mindful to interact appropriately at each instance.
- Descend into the basement regardless of whether you have the blade.
- Once you do, exhaust all dialogue with her. If you have the Pristine Blade, drop it before you talk to her, or else she won’t talk to you.
- Once all dialogue is exhausted, choose “Okay, we’ve talked enough.”
- Then, choose to keep her locked away.
- Commit to leaving her in the basement by choosing “No, we’re sticking to the plan…”
- Now the Nightmare route is triggered. Choose whatever option you want.
In the realm of gaming, as I embody The Nightmare, the Princess exudes an eerie presence that’s chilling to the core, a power so intense it could potentially snuff out life just by her proximity. Fortunately, my companion, the Voice of the Paranoid, helps me cling to existence with his grounding mantra when all seems lost.
However, delving deeper into the path of the Nightmare reveals a melancholic, isolated toy who’s deep-seated dread of being left behind has led her to act aggressively.
- If you try to kill the Nightmare, you’ll trigger the Wraith path.
- If you remain with the Nightmare or try to run, you’ll trigger the terrifying Moment of Clarity path.
The Razor
The Princess constantly surprises due to adopting the role you assume for her. If you decide to harm her but have doubts, she will retaliate, leading to both of your deaths.
There is more than one way to reach the Razor, but here’s the most guaranteed route in Chapter 1:
- Take the Blade.
- Confront the Princess and slay her.
- Once she’s dead, doubt your success. Choose either “I’m not sure…” or “Of course not…”
- Choose [Remove the blade] or [Check for a pulse].
- The Princess will stab you, and you die together, leading to Chapter 2.
The Razor embodies a chilling delight in your destruction, finding enjoyment in repeatedly cutting you. It’s not driven by ill-will or rage, but rather an attempt to alleviate its own boredom by shredding you into pieces.
Among the two types of Chapter 2 structures, The Razor stands out as the sole one that follows a single route, and it might be the lone pathway guiding directly to a distinct Chapter 4.
The Beast
If you initiate an attack on the Princess and then choose to withdraw before finishing the confrontation, the Beast will emerge as a result.
As her desperation for life intensifies, she adopts the characteristics of a trapped beast, and your altered perspective of her mirrors this transformation, making her appear as such. Here are two possible paths leading to the Beast.
- Enter the basement without the blade.
- Confront the Princess and examine the chains.
- Exhaust all dialogue options until the Princess gnaws her arm off.
- The Blade will drop to the basement. Pick it up.
- Slay the Princess.
- In the middle of the fight, when the option is available, give up.
- Everything goes dark, and you die.
The Beast operates on a primal instinct to devour you, and though she can speak and torment you, there’s no reasoning with her. She’ll go to any lengths to consume you in order to break free from the basement.
In Chapter 2, when you encounter her, she’ll approach you as if hunting prey, triggering an ancient, instinctive terror that has been part of human experience since the dawn of time.
The Beast can evolve into one of two forms:
- Fighting the Beast and dying will lead to the Den. You’ll need to take the blade with you if you want to have that option.
- Getting eaten and digested by the Beast will lead to the Wild.
The Witch
Contrary to your original plans of rescuing the Princess, you deceive her by stabbing her in the back instead. Deeply wounded by your unexpected treachery, the Princess transforms into the cunning and mistrustful Witch. Here’s how you can unlock the way to the Witch:
Instead of freeing the Princess as planned, you betray her cruelly by plunging a knife into her back. Bitterly hurt by your sudden deceit, the Princess is reborn as the sly and distrustful Witch. To find the path to the Witch:
- Enter the basement without the blade. Make whatever choice you wish on the way down.
- Examine the chains when you meet the Princess. Exhaust all dialogue options when your character tries to leave the basement.
- Slay the Princess.
- Finish the job.
In Chapter 2, the character we know as the Witch is cunning, filled with grudges, and has a deep-seated anger towards your past actions. Whether you opt for reconciliation or persist in confrontation, this Witch demonstrates her agility and slyness, much like a cat, and won’t think twice about getting injured if it means causing you pain. The Witch presents two possible routes:
- If you betray the Witch or let her betray you while leaving the basement together, the Shifting Mound will eventually claim her.
- If you choose to try to make amends by giving her the blade, it will unlock the Thorn path.
- If you choose to leave and abandon the Witch, then she’ll control the roots of the cabin to crush and kill you both. This unlocks the Wild path.
The Stranger
Should you choose to disregard the narrative and pursue your own path, there’s a high likelihood you’ll unintentionally distort reality, resulting in peculiar and confusing geometrical patterns that branch out into endless scenarios.
Your refusal to stick to the script transforms the Princess into the Stranger.
- Whatever you do, do not agree to enter the cabin at the start of Chapter 1.
- Keep avoiding the cabin until you see an endless horizon of cabins, and the world ends, leading to Chapter 2: The Stranger.
The chilling quality of the Stranger’s chapter lies in its disquieting and eerie atmosphere. The Princess, on the other hand, is a terrifying composite of various distorted iterations of her identity.
It’s fortunate that this path follows a straightforward course, since playing it just once will grant you all the achievements connected to this specific Princess variation, before she is claimed by the Shifting Mound.
The Prisoner
In a different portrayal, you meet the Princess who exhibits calmness and practicality. This variant of her character is encountered after she’s been driven to kill you as a means of escape. Despite her dire circumstances, she remains composed without showing any signs of hostility or malice, yet she’s prepared to take whatever actions necessary to stay alive. To unravel the Princess’s journey, you’ll need to perform these steps:
- Take the Blade.
- When you confront the Princess, drop the blade and talk to her.
- Exhaust as many dialogue options until you get the option to examine the chains. Try to save the princess.
- When the narrator forces you to slay the princess, scroll through the list and find “Warn her” and “Resist.” Doing so will let her know that you’re not in control, and she’ll swiftly put you out of your misery. You’ll then be carried over to Chapter 2: The Prisoner.
In a less formal manner, we could say that while imprisoned, the Princess tends to adopt a more straightforward and serious demeanor, often speaking candidly. However, there’s a hint of humor lurking within her icy facade.
- If you let her decapitate herself, you’ll have the option to take her head with you out of the cabin. Taking the head with you will let the Shifting Mound claim her.
- If you leave it in the basement and exhaust the dialogue options, you’ll get to Chapter 3: The Cage.
- If you so much as try to hurt the Prisoner or cross her boundaries, she’ll turn into The Drowned Grey.
The Damsel
Nothing like a good cliché to complete any fairy tale story with Princesses and Heroes, right?
In keeping with her title, the Maiden is a delicate version of the Princess, characterized by her sweetness, vulnerability, and extraordinary optimism. Her compassionate nature often leads her to prioritize others’ happiness over her own feelings.
The Maiden shares similar traits with a Princess, but she is more delicate, being sweet-natured, vulnerable, and extremely hopeful. Due to her kind heart, she frequently puts the feelings of others before her own.
To reach the Damsel, you should follow the exact same sequence of steps as you do for the Prisoner, but with a slight change: When you enter the basement in Chapter 1, you won’t grab the blade.
In this rendition, the Princess expresses evident delight upon seeing you, going so far as to dub you her “charming knight.” Given her affinity for pleasing others, she’s inclined to join you in any endeavor that brings a smile to your face.
- If you slay the Princess, she’ll die happily for you and will unlock The Burned Grey.
- If you show your heart to the Damsel and decide to stay here forever, it’ll lead to one of the best-written paths – Epilogue: Happily Ever After.
The Eye Of The Needle
Similar to how a fully-evolved Pokémon showcases increased strength and power, this variant of the Princess exhibits a significantly enhanced version of the Adversary, with her dark or dragon-like traits becoming far more prominent.
Her fierce passion craves endless battles, and she’s poised to give you a thorough beating until next week. The key to igniting this cycle is either to present a weak resistance or flee from her.
- In Chapter 2, take the blade.
- You don’t want to fight her, so instead you turn around and leave.
- She gives chase, so run like hell. She kills you.
This powerful, demonic entity yearns intensely for combat with you and will relentlessly pursue you across the world’s extremes if it guarantees an exciting battle. Wage a fierce duel involving swords and fists against her, continuing until the Shifting Mound ultimately takes her down.
The Fury
As an ardent enthusiast, I can tell you that The Fury can be metamorphosed from either the Adversary or the Tower, and it stands as the most gruesome pathway of all. It’s a journey filled with body-altering terrors and the chilling apprehension of the Ship of Theseus paradox, leaving one questioning the essence of identity itself.
- From the Tower route, keep picking options that defy the Princess and injure her, forcing her to hit you back.
- From the Adversary route, try to fight the Princess unarmed and let the Voice of the Stubborn insist that you keep getting up. Keep dying until she ends you for good.
Regardless of your actions, the Fury will shred you into grisly strips and reduce you to nothingness, scattering you into nothing more than a memory. Her intense urge to annihilate you stems from her animosity towards you, as she perceives you as the origin of her suffering.
The Apotheosis
As a devoted follower, I can tell you that although she seems formidable, she’s still in the early stages of her divine journey. In a display of dominance, she compels us to take our own lives, but then undergoes a transcendent transformation into a true deity, towering above all else.
Here’s how to help the Princess reach her true godly potential:
- Before confronting the Tower, make sure to take the blade.
- Initially defy the Tower by saying “I’m not going to help you…”
- Then choose [Slay yourself].
This trail seems incredibly similar to those found in Japanese Role-Playing Games, where one battles a deity. I wonder, how could a creature such as yourself, a bird, possibly touch a god?
The Princess And The Dragon
Have you ever pondered how life appears for the princess? From her viewpoint, you might seem more like an intimidating figure always attempting to harm her. Imagine if we could swap positions and see the world through her eyes instead.
- Follow the steps to reach the Spectre.
- Before entering the basement, take the blade.
- When speaking with the Spectre, let her possess you.
- With the Princess still inside you, slay her.
Through self-sacrifice and merging with the princess within you, it’s as if both your identities coalesce. While one part of you occupies her body, another part controls yours, guided by the other voices residing in you.
In this chapter, there’s a playful reference beyond the screen, where both you and the Princess notice the titles that introduce each section.
Via her perspective, you’ll grasp the bewildering sensation of existing in a state between life and death. Moreover, you’ll have the opportunity to observe the true shape of the game’s protagonist.
The Wraith
If you’ve upset the Spectre, she kills you, forcing the next Chapter to begin.
- Follow the same steps to reach the Spectre.
- Take the blade before confronting the Princess’s ghost.
- When confronting her, slay the princess.
- That didn’t work. Slay the princess harder. Make whatever choice next and then die.
In response to your denial, the Princess transforms into a vengeful specter, intent on claiming what she feels is rightfully hers.
She appears far more grotesque, harbors a stronger evil intention, and takes over your will by invading you. If you yield, she controls you, but if you resist, remain defiant and plunge headlong into nothingness.
The Moment Of Clarity
As a gamer, I’ve found that the only way to access this particular path is by tackling the grueling Nightmare version of Princess. In Chapter 2, when I come face-to-face with her, I choose not to liberate her. This decision triggers an emotional rollercoaster where she compels the protagonist, every voice within, and even the Narrator to bear witness to the hardships she’s endured across these recurring cycles.
In Chapter 3, followed by Chapter 4 and then Chapter 5, the screen gradually fills with an overwhelming abundance of succeeding chapters. It becomes challenging to keep track of how many times you’ve cycled through these loops. Eventually, you reach a pivotal point called the Moment of Clarity, where voices other than your own emerge, offering insights into events that have transpired.
In this game, I’ve encountered versions of the Princess, but none have been as chilling as this one. She transforms into something akin to an eldritch terror, leaving me trembling with fear. Her willpower is so immense, it makes my Hero seem feeble and broken, even though he’s typically optimistic and courageous.
The Den
As a devoted admirer, I find myself transformed into something far greater, no longer human but a powerful, instinct-driven being. My days are spent deep within the darkness of a hidden lair beneath the cellar of my former home, a cave that now serves as my dwelling place.
- Follow the steps to reach the Beast.
- Make sure to take the blade.
- When confronting the Princess, you’ll be prompted to act or speak. Don’t waste time. Move.
- Select two (Explore) dialogue options next.
- Survive the Princess’s onslaught.
- You can either choose [Stay. Alive] or [Wait for her to strike, and hit her back]. You’ll unlock a different achievement and path for each choice in the next Chapter.
- The Princess consumes half your body, and you die, leading to Chapter 3.
In this version of the story, the princess is no longer able to speak or think deeply, transforming into a beast that solely feeds on small birds, such as yourself.
To achieve varying outcomes within The Den, it’s crucial to maintain consistency with your selections from Chapter 2. If you selected the blade in Chapter 2, remember to choose the same item here. Otherwise, the Shifting Mound might take its toll before its time if you deviate from your previous choice.
The Wild
In a nutshell, the character known as the Wild has a unique twist – it can divide into two somewhat distinct versions. You’ll encounter this character for the first time in Chapter 3, either through the Witch or the Beast, who make their appearance in Chapter 2.
In my adventure, there are several paths with branching options, but the choice is yours. Just remember that either the Witch will ensnare me with her enchanted roots from the cabin or the Beast will consume me entirely. Here’s the simplest route for each variant of Chapter 2:
This way, I hope it sounds more personal and engaging, making it easier for the reader to immerse themselves in the story.
The Witch:
- Regardless of whether you take the blade, confront the Princess.
- Leave the Princess in the basement.
- She will then trap you with the cabin’s roots.
- Give up, and await your death.
The Beast:
- Confront the Princess in the basement regardless of whether you’ve taken the blade.
- No matter what you do, get swallowed whole by the Beast. Simply remain still.
In the vast, intertwined expanse that we call the Wild, there exists not only the woods, cabins, and earth, but also you and the Princess, now inseparably one.
When you’ve run out of things to say, you’ll be faced with a tough decision: [Gaze deep within yourself, feeling the bitter hatred that’s grown inside] or [Push it aside, burying it swiftly before it consumes me]. I must choose whether to embrace my connection with the Princess or turn away from her.
As I zeroed in on my loathing, I lost sight of the Princess, only to find her entwined with a gnarled tree trunk, taking on the appearance of the Wounded Wild. Now, I’m faced with a choice: either rescue her from this bondage or confront her as the embodiment of the Wounded Wild and end our conflict.
Should you choose to disregard that intuition and bond with the princess, you’ll uncover the enigmatic “Networked Wild” and possibly stumble upon startling truths about our shared predicament within this intricate time loop.
The Thorn
The Witch
- Follow the steps to get to the Witch.
- Before entering the basement, take the blade.
- Make whatever choices on the way down until you confront the Princess.
- When presented with the option, pick the option to [Give her the blade.]
- Lock in your decision by clicking it again.
- OPTIONAL: Tell her, “You’re beautiful. I want to actually save you, and this feels like the only way to do it.”
- She’ll stab you in the heart but immediately regrets it. You die, beginning Chapter 3.
Together with the princess, you strive to break free from the vicious cycle of conflict. By establishing peace between you two, she morphs into a form confined within hostile foliage, symbolizing the saying “wounded individuals inflict pain.” In her possession is the Pristine Blade.
She’s not likely to trust you immediately and is wary of potential harm. Complimenting her beauty in the past may lead to a romantic encounter between you two. To go for a kiss with the Princess, here are some dialogue options to consider:
1. “I have always admired your strength and grace. May I lean in and share a moment with you?”
2. “There’s something about you that draws me in, Princess. Can I steal a kiss?”
3. “Your beauty takes my breath away, and I find myself wanting to be near you. Will you let me kiss you?”
4. “I have been waiting for this moment, Princess. May I press my lips to yours?”
5. “You are the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen, and I can’t resist any longer. Can I kiss you?”
- When descending into the basement, choose, I just want to talk. Really talk. Then proceed down the stairs.
- Once you meet the Princess, she will ask you if you’re here to laugh at her. Say “I’m not here to laugh. I’m here to free you. If you’ll let me.”
- The Princess wants to trust you, so you’ll need to be gentle with convincing her. Say “You’re not the only one who yearns for freedom. I’m as trapped as you are. I think we need to leave together.”
- Exhaust the top-most dialogue options. “Is there nothing I can say to change your mind?”
- One last push. “Then maybe it’s past time for either of us to say anything. All that counts is action.” [Reach for the blade.]
- The Princess now trusts you. Cut her free.
- Finally, kiss her. Congratulations, you’ve romanced the Princess!
The Cage
Though she appeared calm on the outside, the princess struggled under pressure when attempting to escape using the knife you provided. To proceed to Chapter 3: The Cage, follow along.
- Follow the steps to reach the Prisoner.
- Take the blade before entering the basement.
- Respect the Princess’s boundaries by sitting where she asks you to sit.
- Exhaust all dialogue options until she asks for your blade.
- Agree to give her the blade. She’ll then cut her head off.
- After the Princess’s self-inflicted decapitation, leave her head in the basement and try to exit the cabin.
- Because she’s dead, you won’t be able to leave. Use the blade to slay yourself.
- You’ll then enter Chapter 3: The Cage.
In the role of the reincarnated Princess from The Prisoner, this version finds herself a bystander to her own movements, compelled to merely observe as her physical self carries out actions, while her mind remains imprisoned within a cage.
The Grey
In the spirit of wildness, the Grey variant, similar to a princess, transforms into one of two forms based on your decision: either by freeing the Prisoner or rescuing the Distressed Damsel.
The Drowned Grey:
- Complete Chapter 1 by following the steps for the Prisoner path.
- Before entering the basement, take the blade.
- Make whatever choices you want, then slay the Princess.
The Burned Grey:
- Complete Chapter 1 by following the steps for the Damsel path.
- Before entering the basement, take the blade.
- Make whatever choices you want, then slay the Princess.
In my gaming world, both iterations of The Grey weave a heart-wrenching tale about the endless, brutal conflict I find myself entangled in with the Princess – a cycle that neither of us seems able to break free from.
In a chilling turn of events, the ghostly figure known as The Drowned Grey, once bound to the role of the Prisoner, grows bitter towards you due to your actions of taking her life. This bitterness creates a sense of distance between you two. She adorns herself in a mourning gown, symbolizing the shattered trust and loss.
In a spectral form as the damsel’s ghost, she continues to cherish you with an affections tainted and contorted, transforming her love into a yearning for your demise. This way, we could be united eternally in the realm of the deceased.
Epilogue: Happily Ever After
Contrary to the Narrator’s instructions to kill the Princess, you instead save her, transforming into the chivalrous hero she believed you to be. Just as in any tale of a Hero and a Princess, you both spend your days basking in eternal happiness.
If you wish to uncover what might transpire between you and the Princess, here’s a guide to unlocking the Epilogue:
- Follow the steps in Chapter 1 to get to the Damsel.
- Before entering the basement, leave the blade.
- Make whatever dialogue choices you want, then rescue the Princess.
- When she asks what you want to do, say, “We leave. And then we have our whole lives to figure out what we want to do next.”
- Leave the basement with the Princess. When prompted, don’t slay the Princess.
- Just before you leave the cabin, say “All we need to be happy is each other, what if we just stayed here and built a life together?”
- The Princess doubts your resolve. “Trust me. It’ll be better for both of us if we stay. We can be happy here. We just have to want it.”
- You open your heart to her. Literally. Everything goes dark, and you die.
Instead, you can choose another route that maintains the same scenery, but offers a different perspective – The Voice of the Suspicious One. To activate this choice, follow the provided instructions below:
- Starting from step 3 of the above, choose (Explore) “What do you want to do?”
- Pick (Explore) options three more times. Like a true people-pleasure, the Princess just wants to make you happy, her form devolving into crude sketches.
- Right before things take a turn for the worse, pick “Okay. Clearly something is happening here, and I’m very scared…” The Princess will revert to her normal self, confused by your request.
- The Voice of the Smitten will then open your heart to her. Literally. Everything goes dark, and you die.
In the final act of this epic game, I find myself living an apparently serene existence alongside the Princess, a life that seems flawless and everlasting. Yet, as I delve deeper into my own thoughts, I can’t help but wonder: is this truly what we both desired?
