Gamers have noticed that all Ubisoft games are currently unavailable. The company confirmed on social media that they’re performing maintenance, starting at 1 PM UTC and expected to last at least four hours, until 5 PM UTC.
Ubisoft announced that all of its games on every platform will be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. Players will experience interruptions to their game sessions. The reason for the maintenance wasn’t specified, but it could be related to recent hacking attempts against Ubisoft.
Why is Ubisoft Down?
Ubisoft’s full suite of games and systems has gone offline for global, widespread maintenance.
A social media post, made just ten minutes before the outage began, first signaled the problem. This gave players very little warning before all games went offline, interrupting gameplay around the world.

Although the recent outage was expected to affect games like Rainbow Six Siege, The Division, The Crew, Assassin’s Creed, and For Honor, reports on websites like Down Detector don’t show widespread player problems.
The likely reason for this issue is the time of day. It’s morning in the US, daytime work hours in Europe, and nighttime in much of Asia and Oceania. While the timing is inconvenient, Ubisoft might have strategically chosen this moment for a platform outage, potentially minimizing disruption for a large portion of its player base.
Some people think this outage might be connected to the recent hacking attempts against Ubisoft’s games and networks, but this hasn’t been officially confirmed.
