This event will initially only be accessible to select users who have been invited. As the alpha progresses, these users may receive priority codes which they can share with two friends, thereby granting them access to the preview as well.

To get to the alpha version, here’s what you need to do: First, join the Marathon Discord community. Once there, complete a provided questionnaire or survey.

Is Marathon Coming to Console?

It’s worth noting that while most extraction shooters have been exclusive to PC platforms, it has been previously announced that Marathon will be available on both Xbox and PlayStation consoles. This information became public knowledge prior to the official unveiling that occurred on April 12.

What Does Marathon Gameplay Look Like?

In Marathon, the gameplay sequence follows a standard pattern for extraction shooters. Players begin by customizing their character, selecting weapons, enhancements, shields, grenades, attachments, and other gear as desired. They then choose a ‘Runner’, a cybernetic character with distinct abilities and talents, and finally, they select a map to play on.
